So how are you guys - 27 Jun 2026 - (668 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank
So how are you guys?
We've been busy.
We've done a bit of pricing up.
Lovely jigsaws and stuff that's been donated.
Lovely all the pieces.
I got some that's ongoing.
Got a few missing pieces.
This smells of chocolate.
It's lovely.
So...
We've had a good sort of sort out.
We've got some new stuff in as well.
Some new stuff and some old stuff because I didn't want to put the China things in storage because they're going to get damaged.
You see like these little figures bits will get damaged on them.
Dan thinks we've got about 300 bags up in the storage area in P3.
So maybe even 400 he said.
Now we got over a thousand in the donation centre.
That's for sure.
We give up when we got to a thousand counting.
So we need those sorted on the left hand side in the donation centre.
And we need the ones upstairs sorted as well.
I've left the Christmas stuff out.
I don't know where that's gone because there's only us here.
So where's it gone?
How has it gone out of the bag?
We'll have to look for that.
So yes, that's where we're at now.
We could do with somebody to come in and organise some stuff.
He's found some more clothes.
I'm going to go through them now.
Probably be here till later.
Give us a knock tomorrow.
You're going to have to knock loudly and wait because he's in the back room getting the remainder of the donations out the back room and getting it set up ready for the children to use back as a playroom in there.
So yeah, and then we get the fire out.
The fire unbothered.
We haven't seen them for weeks.
Well until they set a fake fire over there.
He'd done a staged incident with a fire over there.
They were just backfired on them really, didn't they?
So any time the fire have come out.
So,
got some nice stuff in.
Don't forget it's on half price.
We've been on half price longer than DFS officially.
Yeah, so we get volunteers in.
Get your fire training up.
See what the fire say.
They might say, well you can only have like four people in here at any one time or whatever.
That's OK.
We'll manage without.
Because we need to crack on now.
We're getting the other side back open as well.
Because he's been emptying that with donations.
He's got loads of pet stuff in.
This is nice.
Look at this little zippy bag.
I love that.
They're nice.
Those little sandals.
They're cute.
He's lovely.
Look at him.
Nice little glasses set.
But yes, we're very busy and we got We're busy with stuff to do and jobs to do.
And we're also, we've got customers knocking all the time to come in.
So, fingers crossed.
We'll get them out next week.
They know about the stunt that's gone on over there.
Because I've told them.
We told them who did it.
So they're fully aware of who's done it.
But we need to update now.
We've got more than 16 rooms now.
But I don't know how much longer this one's going to be watertight for.
Who knows?
Three rooms is bad now.
It's upstairs.
This one.
Upstairs is ready for the work.
It's been ready for the work since before Christmas I think.
Or maybe not.
Maybe after Christmas I think.
Because that's when the worst of it came.
This one, which is bad.
It's never been that bad.
So that needs dealing.
So there's three rooms in this one now.
That's absolutely more usable.
And downstairs can be quite damp.
Stamped down by the toilet.
But it was like that when we came in.
But this water pouring through is new.
We'll see how we go now.
It's dry.
Five minutes isn't it?
Loads of books and stuff down by the other door.
They're all free as well.
