I lost connection guys - 18 Mar 2026 - (729 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank

I lost connection guys.
I did wait but it didn't come back on.
So I'd ordered those Kalo rice cakes or Kalo or whatever they're called and some of them are like made from corn and I've been eating them because they're quite crunchy and I like crunchy stuff you know that.
But some of them have had seeds on and things and they haven't made me ill and it's like oh god.
But even this now I'm having trouble swallowing it.
It's a bit dry I've got to be honest.
But I'm even swallowing it.
I haven't been right have I since I had the teeth out.
But I mean I'm better since having the teeth out.
Maybe it wasn't advisable to have two teeth out in one go because it's taken longer and I don't know.
Still feels a bit swollen there.
I don't know.
I did it to save time and get it done.
But there we are innit.
Flow looks better now it's had a bit of a clean.
So I don't even know what the date is now but I'll sort some stuff out.
We've got a page from Bill and we've got a couple of things to apply for.
I'll have to check a date.
Might have Sunday off again.
I don't know if I'm going to do late tonight now because I'm exhausted after that last night and then I was planning on staying late tonight.
I don't know what Dan's doing.
He's tidying up the ears.
He's tidying the toys up today.
He's got a couple of volunteers in.
All the textiles now are down from upstairs.
Still some bric-a-brac and stuff up there but anything that's going to get ruined by water is out from there.
About 400 quid worth of clothes we've lost.
So annoying because they were too far.
We couldn't have washed them.
When we started emptying the room we didn't have the weather.
I might have taken a chance on washing some of them.
Some of them were mouldy.
But you've seen the water that's coming through.
It's like a blooming waterfall, isn't it guys?
Are people checking pennies in their necks now making wishes?
Just so gutting to see all of that water coming through like that.
We haven't had the best weather have we guys?
I think, because it was never that bad, right?
Can you remember when there was people in the George pub?
They're talking now maybe even two years ago in Pontypool.
And I think it's the George on the corner.
There's been shut up for years by Ragamuffins, you know, and by the bottom shop, our bottom shop.
And I think they had a grow-out in there.
And I think the police were after them and they were on the roofs of the buildings in Pontypool.
And they were throwing the dates at the police.
And remember Jude and Steve were in the shop and they put a video on saying we can't open the shop because the police are out there because there's people on the roof, you know.
I'm like Christ almighty.
I think where they were throwing the tiles off, they've obviously made a gap, haven't they?
And obviously the birds have pecked at the whatever and there you go.
And... or where they've been running across the roofs, they've dislodged tiles because it's never been that bad.
That's the worst we've ever had.
And it's like pouring through.
You can see it on the videos, can't you?
It's so disheartening.
It really was, you know.
Because Sammy had got that baby area nice in that area over there.
And she's got it all up on the hangers, all tidy and all in the baskets tidy and what have you.
And all her bins of the older children's clothes all tidy.
Because Dan said all the shrink wrap around some of these bins with the children's... I said yeah, because what she did in the end was she shrink wrapped them and then if somebody wanted like the age 12 bucket, they'd go in the bucket and then she'd put the shrink rack back over so they weren't pulled out all over the place.
It's so disheartening.
But they can't get at it to do any work, you see, can they?
Which is fair enough.
We know you can't.
