It's important you guys know what you're paying for when you pay to ride or wash or do any activities with an elephant.
They work all day doing those activities and then they're chained here 15 hours, so from 4pm to 7am.
And elephants only sleep 4 odd hours which means they're awake, chained to a tiny, tiny little chain where they can barely move for the whole night.
And this action that they're doing here is because extremely stressed and anxious.
So if you're coming to Thailand or any other place like that to see an elephant, that is what you're paying for.
And it's important that you're informed and hopefully make a better decision when you are in these countries because that is the treatment that they're being given.
