Oh, here we go, guys - 4 Feb 2026 - (1,883 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank
Oh, here we go, guys.
They're picking on the Magic Cottage now.
I knew they would.
I'd just give it an amount of time, wouldn't I, before they started picking on the Magic Cottage.
We've been... we've been... well, I don't know, busy-ish.
We've had some good sales.
And we've had a lot of people in, new people in, but they didn't buy anything, but they had a good look around.
So, and it's a lot easier to walk around here.
We've had staff come in and say, it's a bit much, are they?
But I've had to get staff out of the cupboards for people today, and it was a disheveled mess anyway.
It's nice, isn't it?
Come back out, my mother's washing.
She must have had to wash.
Lovely.
Yeah, so they seem to be picking on the Magic Cottage now.
I knew they would.
So I'll give them enough rope.
They'll hang themselves now.
And I'd already pre-warned them which ones to watch.
And the one that's picking on them is already on my block list, one of their flying monkeys.
So there we go.
There we go.
They're lovely.
Now I pull them up for eight.
They've got a cardigan in their nappies and a bottle.
They're going to go for the baby shower.
That's what they're going to go for.
I've got to do this now tomorrow.
I'm already feeling it today.
But I had a load of stuff that my mother works.
So that was good.
I just went through the bags.
So I got to get this bit tidier.
I've had some stuff go out the cupboards.
I've had to pull all that out on this bit.
So I'm psyching myself up for this end.
This bit's a lot better.
I've still forgotten that jacket.
I've got to go and pick up a tumble dryer from somebody now for the shops.
Thank you for waiting for me.
And the lady.
What else was I going to say?
Oh yes, debunking the myths on the website.
It says on the email, you're on the tail end of the budget for the year or whatever it says.
I don't know what it actually says.
But I mean, it says on there.
You're on the tail end.
So you might not get everything on your list.
You know, so why are they lying now and saying that?
I don't know.
But there we are.
There we are.
It's pretty obvious who it is now, isn't it guys?
Yeah.
Pretty obvious who it is.
And just like clockwork, they're picking on the next new charity that's turned up.
Well, it's not Blackwood.
It's Crossbar Main, isn't it?
I knew they would.
Wouldn't take them long.
Same people you watch now come out the woodwork now, accusing them of money laundering now.
The Waste Not Want Not charity in Blackwood.
We know them.
They're nice.
If they were nice, you'd have known about it off me.
Yeah.
Get up there and support them.
They're a good charity.
And support them knowing that and say to them, we know these groups of people because they've been doing it to Jane and they did it to charities before her.
To monopolize everything and they've done it to other charities before her again.
So we've got your back and we're up here shopping with you.
So, yeah, there we are.
I was going out.
Oh, yeah.
Don't forget that I need this woman, this lady that you won £20.
I don't know if the £20 has been claimed in Ponted Pool.
I think I did.
Didn't we tag you or something?
I can't remember.
I can't remember now.
So I'm about to pack up now and then I got to go and pick up my dryer and then I've got two or three applications for grants to do tonight.
So time consuming.
Everything's time.
This is where we need grants now, not just to cover running costs, but we need grants to cover wages to employ people to do the grants while we're doing all the other stuff, you know.
But that was always our plan.
It was always our plan, that was.
Gone cold again.
I put the electric blanket back on the bed.
Then I had about 50 cats on the bed with me because I had the electric blanket on.
Yeah, I'm going to pack up now and then I got to go pick up this dryer.
Thank you to the lady who's been waiting for me because I couldn't message anybody yesterday because I had a DBS the other day before.
I had to put my ID in.
It does it sometimes, it shuts down the account sometimes.
Here we are.
Is she still selling her foof pictures?
Her bloody vajazzle pictures?
Is she still posting them all over Facebook thinking that's going to save her business, that girl?
That old wind sister?
Can you believe that, guys?
Yes, you know.
They can take the piss out of me, but I can't do it back to them.
Unbelievable, innit, guys?
But there we are.
I knew this would happen.
And I kept my mouth shut because I thought, this is going to happen.
It won't take them long.
When they refuse to work with them or they losing money over this other charity now.
It's been a registered charity for a long time.
Yeah, when they open up up by you now, they're going to give them grief.
The same groups of people.
You watch it now.
You watch it.
If they refuse to work with them like I did.
And they've already started, look.
The first thing I did was, look, and he's already on my block list, that guy is.
But there we are.
Right, so...
It's been nice, it's been dry today, haven't it?
What a difference it makes when it's just dry, innit, guys?
Just dry.
Well, there's something else I was going to say and I forgot not about it.
There we are.
There we go.
Still tired, still no news about my blood transfusion.
I've got to trace it up tomorrow.
They've had a new system in the doctors and I wonder if I've fallen off the system here.
So I better ring them.
Because usually they're on it with me, and they have been.
But I still feel a bit drained, but...
Better in general.
January was a bitch when it guys.
Everybody I know was miserable through January.
I don't think anybody could pull a...
We just couldn't pull ourselves out of it, could we, guys?
I'm glad we're through it now.
So...
If it warms up, see, I'm better.
Then I can function better if I'm warmer.
So yeah, I've got to excavate this corner.
Excavate that aisle down there.
And then I've got a couple of bags that really need to go to the donation centre.
But my car is permanently full with donations.
So...
I'll...
Do that.
I've had some bags off my mother, so I'm packing all the stuff she did on the weekend.
She's on a roll at the moment.
We don't want to stop her, do we?
Do you see how much she's done on the weekend?
On a roll.
Can't stop her.
Ah, yes.
So I did a bit last night, a little bit more stuff for the baby shower.
I have got other stuff, like bric-a-brac, that I'm just...
It's just come in on donations, you know, at home.
And I've just been doing it as homework, so...
Hopefully we'll get that down there.
That's all booked.
Can't wait for that now.
That'll be nice.
I'm looking forward to that.
I'm looking forward to doing something different.
You know.
So I need a cap that that was, and we'll gauge it by how we go.
Try and check in so I can see roughly how many people are coming.
If you want to come and volunteer for the day camp, try and wear something blue.
Over the baby shower.
Oh, yeah, I need to tell you what it was then.
Nearly pointed as well.
Nearly give it all away.
It could be that way too.
Over there.
Or back that way.
Yeah, so if you wanted to do that.
But I also need somebody really to open this shop on Saturday.
On the Saturday, because this is a busy little shop on a Saturday.
So...
I could do with somebody sat here really.
One of our previous volunteers or something.
If you want to just come in for the one day.
Bring the trolleys in now.
It's not that much to bring in.
Pack up and then go and get my tumble in and then I'll have a...
It's not like a tumble.
It's like a dry buddy thing.
I think you hang them inside the like tent thing and then it dries stuff doesn't it?
Because sometimes, especially this time of year, it's so difficult to dry stuff.
In the shops.
So, yep.
That's me and then I'm going to go in for a nana nap.
And then I'll be up all night to expect pricing.
Pricing, dusting stuff, cleaning stuff.
Never stops, do it guys.
Never stops.
I don't think we've had any donations today actually.
No, I don't think we've bought anything in today.
That's got to be a first.
Dan has.
Dan's like, I can't take them all.
But I don't think I've had anything today.
Did I have a bag first thing?
I may have had a carrier bag first thing off somebody.
I can't remember now.
I've done a few bags today.
Because it's all the stuff that my mother's done.
It's like bits that she's on and that's a clean up or whatever.
She's separated the dearer cars from the cheaper cars.
They're just like mega cheap ones.
They might go in here actually.
They're like the two pound ones.
They're not really collectable at all.
So they're like what the children would have.
I try and get the dearer ones in a cupboard and then the mums can stay there.
Normally you can't have the ones in a cupboard.
They're antiqual.
It's easier then to put them off with them.
But these would be the cheap ones.
Oh look, I ain't going to get a pick at them in.
I'm just shitting it.
Life's not a pop cake thing.
So a guy came in today and he straight away looked at the books by ear.
So that's good isn't it?
So that works lovely.
So thank you to my lady who gave me that.
That's worked out lovely.
I originally thought about putting pictures on it.
But you couldn't see the pictures in the frames when they were on there.
You'd still have to pull them out.
But that looks good now.
Looks good.
Fab.
And we've had lots of new people back and forth today.
And they've been over the market but I don't know what they're doing.
So I think they're clearing the floor.
Clearing the floor area now.
Alright.
That's where they're at I think.
Right we've got to pack up guys.
So see you in a bit.
Go over and support that other charity now.
They're picking on the Magic Cottage now.
I knew they would.
I'd just give it an amount of time, wouldn't I, before they started picking on the Magic Cottage.
