I'm still doing this stuff, guys - 25 Jan 2026 - (1,151 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank
I'm still doing this stuff, guys.
This is one of those masks you put on your face.
But my dad said it's working.
He put the pat test on it.
But he said it like flashes and I don't think you're supposed to do that, he said.
Because I've seen one on QVC similar.
But I think it's supposed to change colour.
I think it's supposed to go through colours.
It's red and blue and something else, isn't it?
I think.
I don't know.
Let me know.
Anyway, guys, I'd like your opinion.
I'd like to know what your opinions are on this.
When you see pictures like this.
When you see pictures like that on Facebook of us and on these websites of us.
Because it might be my neurodiversion brain.
I don't know.
To me, as a health care practitioner.
I've been working in health and education for a long time.
Since I was 18.
And I did my work experience in the unit that I worked in, which was in Trinity Fields.
Even though they put it on the website.
It was Trinity Fields and it wasn't.
It was another local.
There's more local ones.
I just haven't got a clue what they're researching.
But so I've worked with neurodivergent children.
OK.
Went into the mainstream castles with some of the other children.
And I've done work experience in Pontliff High Comprehensive School.
In their neurodivergent base.
When they had their base up there.
And I don't know.
There's no buttons on this or nothing on the site.
Do I have to even like click it onto something else?
I don't know.
Perhaps you're supposed to have a...
I don't think... I think it's working.
But I don't think it's right, is it?
It's not quite right, this thing.
I'll have to write on it, I expect.
Because somebody might still have it for parts of it.
I don't know.
Make a mask out of the front of it, perhaps.
I don't know.
But if I saw somebody, a patient.
Or a colleague.
Or a child.
Or somebody with a behavioural problem.
Now, bearing in mind I did a week in Cardiff Prison as a student nurse as well.
You know, because a lot of people who are in prison is because they haven't got the right mental health support.
Or they've got behavioural problems.
Obviously, and drug addictions and things.
You know, things that fuel crime.
But for me, my logic is, that's an alarm bell.
If somebody is hiding behind a wall in the top car park of Blackwood.
To take a photo of somebody.
And then post it on the internet, because they think they've got dynamite.
By taking a picture of me standing by my car, saying to Daniel, Ta-da!
New cabinet for you.
And he's like, great, thanks.
Just what I really needed.
I'll carry it in then.
To me, I would be making a referral.
About that person.
Because that is, and it's not just one picture.
There's several pictures.
And there's other pictures of somebody doing it as well.
And there's other pictures of people like in bushes and stuff.
And you can see they're in bushes.
Or they buy a bush or something.
Because there's like leaves.
And it's like, how would you feel if somebody who isn't neurodivergent, or even if you are.
What is your opinion of when people are taking pictures of us like that in the community?
Do you think they're completely, you know...
Do you think they need help?
Do you think they're complete fruitcakes?
That's not right behaviour.
Of that person taking the photograph.
Because all we're doing, all I'm doing, is dropping off a cabinet to Dan.
That we probably had for free.
For him to put something nice that you've donated in, like your chinaware.
Because it gets knocked off really easily.
So we put it in cabinets and stuff.
Or if it's like, sometimes high risk stuff.
Put it in a cabinet.
Because you can hear people opening the cabinet.
It protects it better.
It displays it better.
So to me, my behaviour there is totally normal.
And Dan's behaviour there is totally normal.
Because we've got a shop.
It's being donated.
We're taking it to a shop.
It's being donated.
And we're putting stuff in there that's being donated.
For the use and purpose of our CIC.
Which is now registered.
Which it wasn't before.
But you didn't need to as a baby bank and a food bank.
But we might be doing other stuff.
So we've registered as different stuff.
You know, and get funding etc.
And we need a bit of help now.
And, you know, like I said to my mother.
She's been doing the books so far.
But maybe we'll get an accountant out to do them.
You know, she's been promoted to jigsaws.
What did she say to me the other day?
I'm on coats.
I said, you better not be on coats.
She said, I'm telling you now.
I'm on coats.
I said, why the hell are you on coats?
I said, coats is not your department.
Get off it!
She was like, well I've got a bag of coats up here.
I said, well I don't know where you've got them from.
I said, but you're not on coats.
I've got to check the coats.
Because sometimes they come in and the collars are stinking.
And I'm like, oh no, I need to do that.
I need to check that job myself.
Because sometimes it's stinking, or sometimes it's disgusting stuff in the pockets.
Or whatever.
You know.
Rolo's snoring to you.
You're snoring.
You're snoring.
But what is your comments, right, when you see somebody else putting pictures like that up of us?
Doing normal...
To me, that's just a normal everyday activity of working in a charity shop or a second-hand shop or working with donations or doing something for the public volunteering.
To me, that's just a normal scenario.
So, I'd be interested on what your opinions are when you see other people posting stuff like that about us.
Because I think they need to go and see somebody like you know.
That's what I've been trained to do.
And sometimes, very often, because I've been trained to do something in black and white, then I'd be a bit of a stickler to it and stick to the black and white.
You know.
And to me, I feel like they're really unwell by taking the picture, thinking they've got dynamite with that picture, and then posting it on social media.
Or even keeping it and showing it to somebody else.
It's like, what are you doing?
I ain't got pictures of random strangers on my phone.
Not like that.
You know.
Why would anybody do it?
By the way, size 14 trousers.
This is one of those masks you put on your face.
