Alright, Lady Cross The Road gave me these - 19 Jan 2026 - (449 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank
Alright, Lady Cross The Road gave me these.
She said, I've seen your post on Facebook.
She said, I've been watching them all weekend.
She said, oh, they're dreadful, aren't they?
She said, and then I've seen, in between all these posts you're having with all these horrible people again, she said, you're bagging up the, um, we've, we've battered by them.
You know, yes, they're not very expensive, but it's all costs, isn't it?
Toilet rolls, that's where the money goes.
You know, think about it guys, think about it.
Um, you know, disinfecting, washing up liquid, where do you think the money goes?
Right, it's all, all accounted for.
We've got to do a tax return.
I can't wait for us to get our tax return, because I'm, I am behind on the tax return, and there's going to be a tax return since we started.
So, poor, I can't wait for that one to come in.
Perhaps we'll, perhaps I'll take you, take all the volunteers out and spend it all on the volunteers, just to annoy the haters.
Anyway, um, my neighbour said, I didn't realise you collected beads and stuff, and I said, yeah, I'm buttons, for the Aberdash.
And she was like, oh, I got loads, she said, I got boxes full of buttons.
She said, let me go through them, because I'm not 100% sure what's in there.
She said, I'll give you the buttons.
She said, any beads I got, any bits of craft, any bits of ribbon, definitely ribbon, because we use it to tie on the boutique clothes.
You know, I'll put it, no, we just put it in the craft section.
So, she said, oh, I got bits of ribbon off crackers.
I said, yeah, if you've got, if you've got like actual material ribbon, bring it in, because people use it for craft or use it for Aberdash.
But she said, oh, yeah, but look, you know, I said, we got a lovely big section in Fonty Poole shop, so, yeah.
So, if you've got any buttons, any beads, any broken jewellery, guys, because my dad will use the links off stuff, see, to fix stuff.
So, he was there tonight, soldering a necklace, and we were like, oh, what's he up to over there now?
When we were getting on with stuff, I've seen that bead, I got a bead like that, I'm sure.
And, oh, he put this necklace together, and then my mother was like, hang on, I got a box somewhere.
And she said, Sammy put in a bag full of stuff for my mother, and there was an empty jewellery box in there.
