So these are one of our swimmers' boxes - 8 Jan 2026 - (490 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank
So these are one of our swimmers' boxes.
They go in the leisure centres and also any gyms that have given us discounts, especially for our mothers that may have swimming pools.
It is mandatory to wear one of these little swimmer nappies now, but the leisure centres charge a pound, I think, per one.
So if you forget one, you can't go swimming.
It's easy to forget stuff as mothers, isn't it?
And the boxes are usually donated as well.
This one has come off Sue, thank you.
I put an EpiMax in there as well.
It's a very bland cream.
The ingredients are on there, but sometimes when you get the baby out of the pond, I was going to say, out of the pool, sometimes they can have a bit of an allergic reaction to the chlorine or whatever else is floating around in the pool.
So there's a little bit of EpiMax there as well.
Sometimes these are out in the changing rooms and sometimes if they're having a lot of theft from them, they will keep them behind the counter.
And instead of charging you a pound, if you get a nice receptionist, instead of charging you a pound, they will say, hang on, Jayne's Baby Bank has got one here.
Would you like one of these?
So if these boxes are out in the changing rooms, mums, can you let us know when they're running low?
Because sometimes the staff are busy.
We understand that staff got jobs to do and they're busy.
We don't want to give them any more work to do.
So if you've got any half packs of swimmers or ones you've grown out, please donate.
We buy them as well out of fundraising.
We don't just catch off people like these other groups like HCT and RCV and all the rest of them.
The ones from Risca.
We don't catch and then give it away and make it look like we're going out of our way to do things.
We actually buy things out of our fundraising as well to try and make sure we've got everything that everybody needs.
Can I also ask, because we've been doing this for up to a year and because the other, you know, as soon as we were clocked in one of the hospitals by HCT staff, they started doing stuff with the hospital.
So can I please ask any other baby bank, can you please stop copying us and the ideas that we have because it's embarrassing for you?
Because people can see that you copy us.
I mean you copied us with the idea of the baby bank thinking you were going to become millionaires overnight.
When in fact, there's no money in a baby bank whatsoever.
We do it out of the goodness of our hearts.
But can I please ask you to stop copying things that we do?
