Right, so we're closing on Saturday until New Year - 17 Dec 2025 - (707 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank
Right, so we're closing on Saturday until New Year.
We've got two landlords that live above the shops, okay?
Staff may be in to do work but they won't be opening to the public so the shops will be locked, okay?
Don't leave anything, security-wise now, don't leave anything out the front now from now until New Year because it will attract the wrong people guys and make a mess on the high streets and we don't want to do that and we're not here to deal with it It's not fair on volunteers that are having a break.
You've got to keep coming out to deal with the problems that other people are making, okay?
So don't leave anything outside the shops.
Don't leave any donations out there anyway but especially over this Christmas period.
When we come back before New Year we're going to be over the donation centre to see if we can set it up differently to get it so that we can allow trucks to drop off and dump it in and go from there and shovel it onto the shelves, I don't know.
See if we can lay out the donation centre better.
Staff are reconvening over there.
29th Street, yes, I think.
Something like that we're doing.
So yes, don't leave nothing outside the shops guys, okay?
I've got people watching the shops anyway for us just in case donations are left because we don't want a mess in the high streets, right?
I don't want it all over Christmas.
We're going away for a break.
I've got people in flats that watch.
We've got CCTV out the front.
Our colleagues have got CCTV out the front.
Please don't leave anything.
I don't want to be uploading videos of people getting on my nerves while I'm on holiday, okay?
You won't be able to access our services while we're away.
So Saturday is your last day to access our services.
People did take donations down to Risca, not tons, but you will be able... we've got a couple of things that's going here for free because the dates are coming up now next month.
They're ready to go.
So yes, just be aware that you won't be able to access our services after 26.
So it's no good messaging me saying I've got no food, I've got no nappies, I've got this, I've got nothing, because there's nothing we can do about it, okay?
We have been asked before in the past, can we send cash?
No, we can't, okay?
So unless you come into the shops to pick up what you need, it's not going to be you, okay?
You're not going to have the facility.
So I'm warning you in advance so that you're fully aware.
Saturday is your last day.
It's also your last day for any of the other items because we've got people picking up bags and stuff to sort over Christmas for us and various other things.
So just for you to be aware now, guys, the secret shed will be there.
I've had another one delivered because somebody bought one off our wish list.
Thank you.
So I've got another one to set up if somebody wants one.
Might be able to get it set up before Christmas.
That is monitored by CCTV.
My cousin is house sitting for me and cat sitting with her partner.
And obviously my parents are out and about in the car as well.
They will be keeping an eye on the shops.
The landlords know we're away, so they know to keep an eye on the shops.
So please, please don't leave outside the shops and don't be a nuisance around the shops because you will be on CCTV and I will post it to social media because it's quicker than ringing the police.
Please don't chuck rubbish in our doorways.
We've had got an ongoing problem at the moment with a contractor that's chucking rubbish in our doorways.
The police and the council are aware of it and it is being classed as fly-tipping.
So yes, very sorry guys, we won't be able to assist you now until January 3rd to the 5th.
Something like that, okay?
