Alright, evening guys - 13 Nov 2025 - (1,123 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank
Alright, evening guys.
I don't know if I'm going to be staying till late or whatever I put on earlier.
I feel better.
I think this one year I sound a lot better too.
Good old paracetamol.
Oh, there's the sign.
I've been looking for that sign all day.
Good old paracetamol.
Brings the old temperature down, stops the bugs from multiplying.
So that's good.
I'm feeling better.
I'm feeling better in myself in general.
So perhaps I was coming down with something last week.
I've excavated this bit.
We've got a pick up now.
So I'm waiting on staff to come with a pick up.
I've excavated quite a bit of that.
A lot of it is big stuff now.
And it needs to come out and be worked and be put back in I think.
We've got rid of some stuff from the free trolleys today.
Like I said, if you're not a regular, just obviously fill a bag for a pound or whatever of a customer you are.
Fill a bag for a pound if you're one of our regular donators or whatever.
It's all free and no trolleys today.
We've sold some stuff from there.
There were gaps but I can't remember what it was.
I can't remember what it was.
We've sold quite a bit today because we've had quite a few gaps.
I've cleared the belay now again.
Volunteers, don't put donations to be worked belay.
That is stuff that needs to be fixed or dealt with belay.
Not just bog standard donations please.
We have had a few problems.
The boys that came in earlier that were rowdy have been here all day.
Not in here.
Okay.
They've been out on the square all day being rowdy, being a nuisance.
In the end the community police moved them along because they were creating a problem for another shop.
So that was the youngsters that was in this moment.
So just be aware that they've been a nuisance.
I had two resellers in that were a bit rude.
Price, price, price.
Well, off you go then.
Go somewhere else.
Go to Upcycled Tobain.
Go to the Magic Cottage.
Go somewhere else.
I don't care.
Go to Barnardo's.
Go to Cancer Research.
You won't be able to go much longer because they're all shutting down.
All these big massive charity shops will be closing down.
Off you go.
Go somewhere else.
You don't need to come to my shop.
Bye.
Resellers pay the full price.
It's the least you can do.
You ain't doing the work.
We're doing the work.
We're cleaning all the stuff.
So I had two in this morning that were resellers.
Which were a nuisance.
One of them bought the stuff.
In the end.
He obviously knows what it's worth because he bought the stuff, you know.
And then everything was hanky-dory for the rest of the day.
And then we had those couple in that came in and were rude to staff when they were over there.
Which I've got the CCTV and the body cam footage of.
The police have been around with the body cams for...
To explain how to use them.
And...
To give them to us.
And also...
To...
This campaign that's going on.
On the corner here.
Pumpkin Police.
And...
Again, they've acknowledged that HET are involving themselves.
I mean this is Torfaen Police.
I've seen it now.
Torfaen Police can see that they are involving themselves.
There's nothing to do with them.
Not even in their area.
So they're going to have a look at...
All these individuals that are still causing us problems.
And see what they can do.
Because obviously...
I find the police over here a lot more proactive than Blackwood Police.
I don't know what you think of the police over here.
But I think they're really good.
And if we're in Blackwood and we ring 999 we always say don't send Blackwood Police.
999 don't send Blackwood Police.
Send somebody else.
We'll wait.
We'll wait for someone to turn up.
Erm...
So yeah.
They've noticed now that they are involving themselves.
There's nothing to do with them whatsoever.
You want to focus on your own charity.
Focus on what you're doing.
Because right now yours is going down the pan.
Big time.
You know, and you're just making yourself look horrendous.
You're making yourself look like bullies.
By involving yourself.
God that's heavy work in there.
Is it a zip?
How does that work?
Plastic zip?
What's in there?
I can't open it.
Oh, alright.
It's like a playset.
Icy.
It's a long one guys.
It's lovely.
It's heavy.
Erm, so yeah.
I think I'll probably wait until the delivery comes in.
I'll see what predicament we're in with the delivery from the pick up.
And then decide...
I don't think I'm going to be doing late night.
I'm sorry.
Danny's still open until about 6.30.
But that's it.
Erm, what's that off?
Another teacher gift.
Dumped in the charity shop.
Don't waste your money guys.
They don't want to know unless it's wine love teachers.
So, yeah.
There we are guys.
Like I said.
We won't put up with it.
And the police won't update on the behaviour.
Of customers coming in here as well now.
Because it's dangerous.
These people are dangerous for them.
You know.
I'm a fighter, not a lover.
So it's dangerous for them.
But you know.
Get a grip like.
If you don't like us, don't come in here.
Simple as that.
If you don't like the shop, don't come in here.
Scroll past.
Get on with your life.
Go and do something to help people.
Yeah.
You don't need to bother us.
Do.
Some people go out their way.
Erm...
Oh God.
I wonder what we're going to have in now.
Right.
We'll update you on the weather warning tomorrow.
Because if the wind is too bad, we'll have to get the canopy in.
I've had it out today to dry it.
Because obviously if it's only a couple of days in the wet, we need it dry.
But if we've got to get the canopy in because of the wind.
Then we'll have problems with this getting wet or damaged.
So we may have to pack up early.
Specifically over here.
Risca and Caerphilly.
Maybe not.
Okay.
I've got a couple of mystery packs.
I've had a couple of them come forward for the mystery bags.
If you can unpackage them and show everything that's in them.
On the camera please.
And give you honest review because we need feedback on them as well.
They cost £10.
We can deliver them for £3.99.
They can be posted, not delivered.
I don't know if I'm going to be staying till late or whatever I put on earlier.
