So, I'm desperate for volunteers, guys - 30 Oct 2025 - (529 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank
So, I'm desperate for volunteers, guys.
I can't do a live.
They won't let me do a live.
So, I'm absolutely desperate for volunteers tonight.
I was supposed to hang this up today and I just can't do it.
Dan's gone to get some morphine now on the way back from Blackwood Shop.
We're open for customers till nine.
Obviously, we're doing building work and his car in contact was so near.
The door's shut.
Just give the window a knock, alright, because you might have to shut it because of the weirdos.
So, I need all of this hang up and size.
I can't move today, guys.
I'm in a hell of a state, I've got to be honest.
And volunteers tomorrow I need would be at about nine.
So, it'd be free snacks and drinks if you need stuff.
For volunteers as well.
We've had some good news.
I can't say the figure.
I would just say the figure, but that's how much she's got.
So, I told her to add it up because I thought, well, it is going up now.
But don't forget the first year we didn't weigh anything.
So, you can add more on to that again.
We do rescue a heck of a lot.
So, well done everybody for that.
Well done.
I really do need some help tonight now because Dan's got two pickups to do tonight because I just can't do it.
And then he's got to come in and plasterboard.
Then he's got to come in and do some window work.
And then he's got all of these things to go up, which probably won't be today now because he hasn't got the right fixings.
I was supposed to get the windows done.
I can't move, guys, if I'm honest.
He's going to get some morphine now from the house on the way over.
See if I can kick myself into action then or at least do something.
But I can't move.
I just sat being sat here pricing all day.
Thank you to Dave and Luke for carrying the plasterboard through for me.
Because the Wix's guy was like, oh, I need someone to help me get her off the van.
I was like, well, that's what we paid delivery for.
I was like, well, bloody help.
Normally I would, but I was like, no.
He dumped it over there, but the boys took it through so it's safer.
Thank you to Emma because she's brought all those boxes from the back room for me of the odd shoes.
Sammy's pulling them all out of the crate upstairs.
Hopefully we can pace them up.
We've got two pairs so far.
It won't be long now.
We'll have more.
We've got a couple of offers on.
They'll be running until at least Christmas Eve those offers, the Black Friday offers.
Because we've got so much stock.
We can do it, you know.
Yeah, desperate for volunteers now, guys.
I'm in agony.
Really am.
I'm looking at little way near prices last night.
I need them and I would have been on a plane and gone.
I really would have.
