Oh, morning guys - 27 Oct 2025 - (1,511 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank
Oh, morning guys.
I'm at Caerphilly.
All the shops are open.
Pontypool's closing today up as to a bit short staffed again this week with it being half term.
So volunteers needed.
I am being very well guys.
I had a bit of a, well, I think I've had a diabetic moment.
Diabetic moment to declare.
Oh, God, I was rough.
Oh, I've been rough.
About five o'clock this morning I was rough.
So I got older Daniel.
I got him up.
He got me stuff I needed.
And I think I fell back asleep then or, I don't know, diabetic coma one or the other.
I don't know.
Woke back up.
Running late, but we had an appointment so we've dealt with the appointment.
But I still feel rough.
I feel rough as hell.
So I think I've had a bit of a diabetic moment.
So it might be time to go and get diabetes checked out again.
I've been eating a little and often and that works better for me.
I think I've done quite well, yes.
I've had dinner with my mother and the water's triggered it like this.
Oh, he's given us extra hooks, hasn't he?
He's done extra hooks for us.
Good, good, good.
I'm going to get the Halloween costumes out.
We've still got a week of Halloween.
Hold on.
What's that going to do now?
I'm stuck.
I'm stuck between Frozen Sister and Midsummer Dreams.
Or Midsummer, what's that?
What's it Midsummer?
Or Midsummer Mood?
Or what's it with the one with the leaf and the donkey?
What's that one called?
I can't remember now.
Oh gosh, I think we've sold one of the tables we had here.
Which I'm a bit gutted with because I like setting the tables up here.
I've sold a couple of things we have and it's like, what's going on there now?
What can I put out there now?
So yeah, I'm doing well.
I turned up because I've got two options now.
I can either cancel.
I've got a lady who's picking up a £60 order.
I don't want to let her down.
And I've got another lady dropping off coats which I've pre-organized.
That's my icing.
It's special ice.
It's VIP ice.
I had that with me on the way in.
It's not gin honestly.
It is... what is it?
I don't know.
I can't remember the water.
Anyway, it's full of minerals and what have you, but I put it in my ice maker.
It's one of the best waters you could have, sort of thing.
I can't remember which one it's called now.
It's the Italian one.
But it's got quite a lot of minerals and stuff in there.
More than other waters proven.
What I've been doing is putting it in my ice maker.
Because I've got a pica disorder and I've got anemia and what have you.
So I tend to have a lot of ice.
So I have a little bit left in the glass.
I do that rather than buying a wrap in the morning.
Saves me money.
Otherwise, I'm craving ice in the morning.
But I've got a bit of ice left.
I'm gonna use that up.
I feel rough though.
I really do feel rough.
I feel like I've been dragged from the edge backwards.
That's how I do feel.
That's how I feel this morning.
Oh, this is one of the tables.
I like the tables.
I've got a stupid ringtone on this.
Get a lot of bits in there.
Stupid ringtone.
It sounds like there's something smashing in a charity shop.
That's what it sounds like, oh yeah.
And then everybody panics because his ringtone goes off.
I think it's supposed to be like a sword or something.
But his ringtone to go off and everybody panics because something has smashed.
That's what it sounds like.
You know.
But yeah, I haven't felt well at all all night.
Anyway, I've turned up.
Showed up, haven't I guys?
Showed up.
Thing is, I might have had the morning asleep or in bed with the cats and then by the time I'd woken up again, then I'd have felt worse then for not coming in.
Even though I might have felt better, sometimes you've got to throw yourself into it.
I don't know what I find.
So I think perhaps I need to have a chat with the diabetic nurse now.
Make sure I'm doing everything I can from my side.
That's a nice little bag of bits there.
Oh gosh.
I even organised my shoes here this morning.
They're lovely and made for them.
I love these.
So yeah, I had an awful migraine.
I've had a bit of a migraine for two days.
I got through that.
I was like, all right, take a couple of pinkies.
I get through that.
So I did that.
Oh no.
Oh no.
What's happened?
Oh no.
Must have been the wind.
Must have been the wind.
Oh, I've got to put this puzzle back together now.
Let's have a look.
What was that then?
It must have been the wind.
Is there a certain order to these now?
Let's get them back together.
What's 10 bits then?
Oh, I can't remember what he looked like though.
I needed a picture of him to see what he looked like in the beginning.
Oh, I think this is the top bit perhaps.
That might be his boots.
Have to go back on the video.
Maybe the plants fell over and it bothered it.
Maybe, I don't know.
Smaller drawers up there.
I don't know if you like them drawers.
I'm not sure what happened, you guys.
I think that's his boots in there.
What I really need to do guys, because look I've lost my sign.
I think I'll give it up to you guys.
All I have to do is just another manic Monday.
Just another manic Monday.
I'll write it off.
I lost my gong.
My nutcracker and my sign.
The only one go then.
These usually go in the door handle I think.
Oh, I can tell I'm not ready with it today, can I?
I'll have to watch how I put it there today then I think.
Because whatever it is, it's going to catch... I think the wind is going to catch it.
I was telling my mum last night, we've gone straight past Halloween.
We've gone straight in the baby bank.
We've gone straight to Christmas because we've got so much Christmas stuff in.
We've just gone, Christmas.
Get the Christmas out, haven't we?
It was quite windy.
It was quite blustery there.
What do you have to do for your sheets girls?
For your sheets on the line?
That's for sure.
It's quite late to see without anything in here, so I might catch the wind.
That's just like an ornament, but it looks nice in there, so I keep putting it in there.
My last gong.
This is now from the garden centre.
Do you remember the log... well they're called Abba Beeg Logging now they're called.
It was my last gong.
That was a lovely donation we had off there, wasn't it?
Oh, he's done the shelf I think.
Let's have a look.
He did it wrong, right?
He put it across the bottom.
I was like, what are you putting it across the bottom for?
I was like, oh, I thought that's where you wanted it.
Let's have a look at what he's done.
So this is going to be our shelf for the mums, right?
To have the free book shelf.
He's put them together, right?
So they're going to be your free books to borrow.
They are mums in there.
So if you've got any books, like we have in Pontypool, we've got a little library.
And the mums can come in.
So if there's books and things like weaning, or toddlers, you know, toddlers from hell.
Or, I don't know, teaching children stuff, you know.
How to cope through motherhood, I don't know.
Anything like that.
Breastfeeding.
Bring them in, guys, because what we'll do is put them on the shelf there and their mums can come in and borrow them when they want to, like a library.
Oh, for guys, definitely a blood sugar issue, I think.
Definitely.
They're quite heavy.
They might be able to go up, but those penguins are not.
They're quite lightweight, those penguins.
Oh, he didn't put the things up there.
That's OK.
That's OK.
He's put the hooks up there for me, so that's good.
I could get more displayed, see?
I'll get these out, but I might just have a sit down a minute.
So yeah, I think it knocked me sideways last night.
These I was going to put in the window there, wasn't I?
I'm going to put these out, because they did get a bit damp.
So if I put them out, they're quite blustery today.
And they should...
