Oh no. Oh no. I've damaged the vase. Oh dear. - 18 Oct 2025 - (2,215 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank

Oh no.
Oh no.
I've damaged the vase.
Oh dear.
Right.
So, the filler bag for Fiver on Toys doesn't include... Oh god.
That's heavy.
That's a door stop.
It doesn't include Teddys, guys, alright?
Because Teddys are one of our top sellers.
So, what we'll do is keep... He's got to backfill those shelves and the arches with Teddys tomorrow.
So, what I'm going to do is send them over the top.
I'm going to send them over the top so that he can...
That's a Santa.
But, I've got four mothers in here.
Four mothers in here now who are in the filler bag for a Fiver with the Toys.
So, what I would suggest is if you've seen something, guys, right?
Don't wait.
If you've seen something that you like, don't wait with this filler bag for a Fiver.
Because mums are in your Christmas shopping now.
That can stay on the filler bag for a Fiver, I think.
Boxing gloves.
Now, they are children's ones, but I had adult's ones somewhere and the set worked out with the pad bits.
But these are children's ones, so they are not it.
Can I also say thank you to the admin that took down our post this morning, tagging the website, tagging the shop, saying it's a charity shop.
Is it a charity shop or is it a food bank shop?
Oh, my God.
It says it on the door what it is, right?
If you can't read, we'll read it to you and explain it to you.
That's not a problem.
All right.
But it's the same people all the time and all the comments are made by anonymous people.
You know, you never got anybody that's willing to put their name to it.
Have we guys?
So only keep the toys by you now.
Well, I'm going to try and get them in the trolleys.
And if we can get these trolleys out daily and start doing filler bag for a Fiver, I'm not worried about toys because I can fill them in.
Toys the rest with toys overnight.
Trust me.
One thing I'm not worried about is toys.
I'm turning down charities, toy charities that are asking me, do I want their excess toys?
You know, because I've got nowhere to put them.
So here we are.
Oh, I was going to say I'm getting quite good now, but I'm not now.
I'm useless.
I was in the hockey team.
I wasn't in the netball team.
I can't coordinate nothing.
I'm a non-coordinator.
Right, so he's over there to backfill.
But primarily as toys, because teddies can be vacuum stored.
So we don't have to worry about teddies taking up space.
Okay, it's toys that take up the space.
It's toys that we can't stack properly.
Because of the way that they are.
And it's the toys that the children pull out every time they come in that then obviously make a mess.
And I don't want to be one of those shops that say your children can't touch them.
That's not what we're about, is it guys?
Oh, there's the adult ones.
I think that's what the lady meant.
So the set would be £7.50 today for that.
I forgot about that lady.
Unless it was the children's ones and then they're in for the bag for a fiver.
Yes.
Daniel, you've got to watch your pricing because you put £20 on this and it's not worth £20.
I think we'll have to take him off pricing, Sammy.
He's pricing stuff too much.
Like there's no way I would have charged £20 for that.
It's a kids one.
I don't think he knows what he's doing with the pricing.
He's all over the place.
So I think we're gonna have to take him off because he put £20 on that.
The thing is he won't go if somebody comes up here and they don't know the deals and the offers and the customer looks at that and they go, well, I'm not paying £20 for that.
I can buy that brand new £20.
Whereas that should be something like £2 for the set.
You know, it's not, not every toy is £3.50.
It's only the collectible figures that's £3.50 because I also found a little teddy bear that was that big with £3.50 on as well.
I don't know who did it.
It don't matter who did it.
But I wouldn't have put that up as £3.50 because it was just a rubbish one.
So any figures and stuff, only the collectible things should be dearer.
I think they've knocked the dent in that, I've got to be honest.
I might stick some more stuff now because they're upstairs now.
I might stick some more stuff now in their bags.
When they're no looking.
Yeah, so don't put any teddies there now.
We'll only put the toys here and I'm going to try and keep them in the trolley so we can handle them better, if I'm honest, because at least then we can
maneuver them better.
I want to try and get that Aberdash trolley out so that we can work that back into the shelves because you can like put it on the shelves and stuff tomorrow.
And then we've only got this sort of to worry about and then we can backfill that with furniture and take pictures of it and get it online because once it's online people are asking for it.
So at least then if he stacks it all and backfills it, do one row of stacking.
But at the moment we've got and god knows what in there.
So I think tomorrow he's going to have to, when it's obviously quieter on the high street, you're going to have to pull all this out and then take pictures of it.
Put it back and then if a customer wants something we know it's like two foot behind and we can say right you'd have to give us 24 hours to get that one out but pay for it now and we'll get it out until it's gone.
And then anybody else turn up with anything, bouncer or bigger for babies say no at the moment because we're really, really backfilled with it.
I had a lady with jigsaw this morning.
She was like oh I'll take my jigsaw.
I was like no.
I felt awful.
She's like nobody wants my jigsaw.
There's only one.
So we need to get this out tomorrow, get him in there, tidy that up, display the teddy so people can see them and request them.
Put this back tidy, get it photographed, put it online and then only the big stuff in here.
Not all this other itty-bitty stuff because just a nightmare.
Just a nightmare at the moment.
And if you can bring some screws because you can bash in a few more nails can you display the pictures up there I'm thinking.
Yeah I've got another bag going out now.
Do you want to see it?
Ooh, five pound.
This is what the ladies are having for five pound.
I might put some more in it.
See what else we got.
See what we can put in there.
Full processor and chopper.
Oh no they need to fill this.
If they're having this they need to fill it with toys.
I'll send them back up now for toys.
I've got some ornaments as well I think.
So I'll take them ones out.
Anything that's got five pound on it or less.
Anything that's got five pound on it or less is included.
Especially jigsaws and things like that.
Games.
And like fill up your bag because it'll only come back when it's donated.
It'll only come back guys.
So it's not like we're losing it forever is it?
Because our mother's redone it.
Yeah I can get more in there can't we?
More toys in there.
And then we've got those ones that are... Oh no the paint was there.
I've got that paint.
Earlier it's come in.
Paint and primer.
All surface paint.
Universal.
I don't know if we can use that for anything.
Masonry is a... we've keeping on selling.
Let me know.
Let me know if you want me to keep that one back for future plans.
Got a couple of big things that's just gone now.
We've just got rid of some more.
Weather going up too good.
So I don't know what's going to be like tomorrow.
That is the only problem.
But we'll have less people in tomorrow.
And we'll have more space to excavate.
I've been stuck.
I can't get that jumper up.
I can't.
It's like wedged with like something and I'm stuck with it.
It's like a wine rack stuck in there.
We'll get it all out photographed tomorrow.
Mark it all down and get it gone.
I think that must be a swing at the back is it?
This basket as well needs to go because it's like full of stuff.
Tops of these rails we need to keep as clear as possible because otherwise people can't turn them I think.
Oh sold some china dolls.
She bought some china dolls and she really loved them.
And remember the one we had by her?
It was a little lamp but the lamp didn't work.
We just sell it as the doll.
I told her she could have that one because she liked her china dolls.
So and she showed me a picture of them.
It was an older girl it was.
She was about I don't know maybe even 19 without other parents.
So I said oh you can have that one then.
So being ruthless I am.
You'll come back there'll be nothing here.
You'll think we've been burgled.
Ah yeah so we've had a few sales.
I'm trying to think what we've sold.
Um what's the date?
That was yesterday.
Yeah so three china dolls have gone.
Moses basket went.
That was um Pat I think.
Car seat are gone.
Big stuff good.
Small stuff went.
A gentleman who owed us 50p from Caerphilly shop.
He's a regular anyway.
He's coming.
I tell you what I forgot though is the raffle tickets.
And then I've had one pound fifties worth of toys.
I had five pound seventy five of toys.
And they took extra toys because they thought later they'd come to five seventy and then we'd give them extra.
And I'm sending people down to the box down the other side of the door as well.
Giving them a bag to go down there.
And then um our winner from the fifteen pound has come in and she's had a five pound bag.
But I've also given her like a walk on toy because little one's ready to walk.
So I said just bring it back when she's finished with it.
So she's starting to pull herself up.
Uh and we've got somebody interested in the um next to me that's in the box.
I found a leg to it.
The leg had come out and that's a nice one I think.
And somebody we're going to do a baby bundle for girl.
Just a normal baby bundle clothes.
Stick if we got any newborn nappies stick them in as well.
She bought a moses.
Oh did I write that down?
There's two moses baskets gone.
Two moses baskets.
No pen now.
It's one of them days it is.
Right pound knocked the vase over.
Throwing my teddy.
Um I gotta go and get that.
Pound moses basket.
Moses basket.
And she's collected it and it's gone.
She wanted a frying pan.
I was like oh we're bound to have a frying pan here but wait I don't know.
I'm sure I priced one up yesterday but I don't
and I don't know what's behind there.
Is it just all designer clothes or is there toys and stuff behind there?
Because I'd rather get the toys out now.
Even if we like get to November and we got we're toyless and then I can say right I'll accept carfuls of toys in now and then start again.
Fill a bag for a fiver.
Get them gone.
If we get a warehouse it's not a problem because everything will just we just direct everybody to the warehouse or anything that comes here just take it home and wait out it.
And the same with the other shops but
we've got to be able to sort of maneuver around you and we can't get prams in at all now in this one so we need to be able to get the prams in.
So I think we're going to have to try and clear off the ramp a bit because it seems to be.
It's not too bad with the bookshelf and the bookshelf goes well there but I think we're going to have to widen that bit.
Have a look now.
I wanted to get up in the window and display the teddies but I can't see me getting down is the problem I've got with the teddies.
Everybody been looking at the squish mall or two.
Oh teddies.
I've got some teddies to put the wash.
