Morning guys - 10 Oct 2025 - (909 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank

Morning guys.
That's all the wool I've got left now there.
We've got three bikes.
Don't forget we're off for now as well.
Beautiful Cardi's in.
I'll go as slow as I can.
So you can see what we've got in.
We've got some beautiful stuff in.
Absolutely beautiful.
That's nice.
I go on at that in the house but it's a different colour.
I think we painted that one.
Last year, only Halloween pyjamas.
I got a little vest set.
I put the dolls out to see people's reactions.
I like to watch their reactions.
Yesterday we had some younger boys come up the street and I was walking down there because I'd posted some of those cards.
And they were young, you know, they were like 14, 15, 16.
And they were coming up here and they could see the shop was open.
And I thought, are they going to come in now or what?
And they were like, oh go on, look at that guys, can we get any more in our shop?
And the one was like, oh, you should get loads in there.
And the guy was like, oh god, it's tiny, it's tiny.
And the other boy then, they weren't little, they were quite tall.
He was like, oh yeah, yeah, but that's good.
He said, that's how you want it, like that.
That's when you get the bargain.
But in that nice that you've got teenager boys that haven't got any qualms of going into a second hand shop and there's no charity shop stigma about using our shops.
He's like, oh yeah, I've been in there, they've got this, this, this and this.
And they had no idea that was me walking over here.
And they were like, oh yeah, and they had this, this, this and this.
And, you know, it was nice to you that they were saying, oh yeah, yeah.
And look at that, you know, look at that vintage jacket.
And it's nice, isn't it?
Nice to you that there's no stigma involved in the fact that it's second hand stuff.
And that was our idea, you see, was to take the stigma out of charity shop.
Take the stigma out of food banks and the rest of it.
Right, so it's all reduced, guys, because we've got so much and I'm at the point where I cannot get another stitch in anyway.
I've got no hiding places now.
All the hiding places and storage places are full.
So please don't make me have to stop coming in.
I need more footfall.
It's all on offer.
You know that.
It's all on offer.
These are guide prices to value it so that when people like the volunteers take their £20 allowance, they've got a guide price.
We've got a guide price.
We've got a valuation price on stuff because obviously we need to value what we've got as well, don't we?
So, you know, like I said, I've told all right.
Thank you for popping in.
So like I said now to people, you know, we will give you a deal on it because we've got so much and I don't want to get to the point where I've got to stop all donations coming in.
OK, I've got some bits to price this morning.
And that's for the benefit of Hayley Thomas because she's been on line screenshotting stuff to the council and she screenshotted all the stuff there that I was sorting out.
Here we are.
Hayley Thomas, if you'd like to screenshot it again and send it to the council, says me doing it this morning.
Look how always have been, always will be, always, always behind people's backs.
I say stuff to people's faces.
Got some nice flowers and I have a chance to price them, but they're all about the same price anyway.
We usually do the vases separate because sometimes people don't like the vases.
She's always been like that.
She's always been reporting people slightly behind people's backs.
I don't.
I say it to your face.
He's over.
So yes, I've got to try and excavate this corner today because it's a bit like stuff's been there and I've moved for a while and then I want to shift this from here the best I can.
And I've got half a car full of donations to try and get in here somehow.
But there we are.
I'll have a go now.
Have a go now, innit?
I'm ready to rock and roll.
I've got my McDonald's left from yesterday so I'm going to warm that up for breakfast because I couldn't eat all that yesterday.
There was too many chips.
So it won't be as nice as yesterday.
But it's all good stuff, look.
See guys, it's all good stuff.
We've got brilliant stuff here, honestly.
I know you're struggling to get the clothes.
We're trying to deal with that.
But we've got other stuff coming in and of course the books are heavy to move.
So if you want anything down, just ask and I'll get it down.
And I've still got the bags down there if you want to go through them.
Right.
I'm going to get myself sorted now.
With my drink, sit there, start pricing, getting stuff priced.
I've got tons of toys guys.
5 to 6 to 7 for 10.
That's what we're doing now.
Right, we've got so many.
It's unreal.
Okay?
