Well, here we are, guys - 4 Oct 2025 - (970 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank

Well, here we are, guys.
You heard it from me first.
Five years ago, you heard it.
And you know why, don't you?
Because we're getting close now to our goals.
We're not even a registered charity, I don't need to be...
We're getting close to our goals now, and I said to everybody, it'll kick off again now when it comes to food collections.
And what are they banging on about now?
On the website.
Food collections.
Yeah.
Let me tell you something now.
The supermarkets know that we can logistically move a shared load of food.
Because Nicola Williams never collected a single donation of food.
Because she doesn't drive.
Everybody else did it for her.
And we were her biggest collectors and distributors.
And they know it.
Nearly a quarter of a million meals.
And she says it herself.
We do the lion's share.
So we contributed that quarter of a million meals.
I've got it all there.
They know logistically we can shift this.
But also the supermarkets know logistically.
Fair share know logistically we can do...
We move mountains in a day, guys.
You know that.
We move thousands of tons of stock in a week.
I've got a car for now.
I've got fucking stock from us all the breakfast time here.
Honest to God.
I literally don't know what to do anymore.
I know what to do.
But I can't move forward.
I'm stuck.
Because I'm waiting on the crunch.
I'm waiting on the bang.
I'm waiting for it all to go bang.
So I can get the premises I need.
And it's coming.
We're going to have a housing crisis.
Because people are not buying houses.
Or they're not buying second homes or holiday homes anymore.
Which will affect the primary housing market.
Because they'd rather emigrate and go and live abroad.
So they don't have to pay so much tax.
People are not going to be buying luxury properties in London and places like that.
And getting a second home.
You're going to have a property crisis now.
It's going to go.
The economy is going to go bang.
And I'm telling you now.
We will be one of the last ones standing.
I used to joke and I used to say to him.
Because of sheer determination.
Of myself and my volunteers.
To get through this.
To get through this bullying.
Trial by fire.
Trial by combat.
We had to do with these four charities.
Right?
That we were not going to stand down.
And we were going to stand up to him.
We will be one of the last ones standing.
We will.
I used to laugh and joke and say BS in the pound shop.
But the pound shop is on its way out.
But these supermarkets and these foods.
Right?
They need the stuff gone.
They're busy.
They haven't got time to be dealing with waste stock.
Waste stock is a pain in their backside.
And they know logistically we can shift it.
They know that I will give it to the people who need it.
They know I won't charge a penny for it.
They know I will reward my volunteers for picking it up.
By saying you can take 10% of it in a green crate full.
Of course they can.
They're giving up their time.
They're giving up their petrol.
Of course they can.
You know the way they tear it on their car?
Of course they can.
You know it takes well over an hour to go and do a food collection.
And take it back to where it's got to go and put it safely.
And store it safely.
Whether it's got to be frozen or put in a fridge or a freezer.
People are giving up their time to help other people.
You know you all think the baby bank was the entrepreneur side of it.
No, no.
Project Robin Hood.
Take it off the rich.
Give it to the poor.
And these bastards.
These charities.
Right?
They've been raping the system for years.
And that's why they don't like me.
Because I'm not interested in a penny of it.
I don't want the money.
I'm not interested in it.
I might have a couple of the almond croissants.
They are my favourite.
If I pick them up from Tesco's.
I am partial to an almond croissant.
But I'm not about that.
I've never been about that.
It's not about the money with us.
Never...
Well, look at us.
We've had one grant of one town council.
And they had to come in several times and say.
Fill in the form.
We're waiting to give you the money.
The volunteers will tell you that.
Because I've proved that you can do an operation like this.
On pennies.
On pennies.
Wow.
So we're going to come crashing down guys.
But I'm sat here.
Sitting pretty.
Waiting for it to go bang.
Because I can't move forward and get a weird house.
I don't know what we're going to do.
Can the public.
Can you hang on to your donations for at least two weeks.
Businesses and charities will still take from you.
But everybody else from the public.
If you want to give it to somebody else you can.
I'm not worried.
But if you really want to give it to us.
Can you hang on to it for two weeks.
Because we just.
We're exhausted.
We're exhausted from working stock guys.
We really are.
And we need volunteers in now.
I need people in.
So I need you in.
We pay you £20 a day minimum in stock allowance.
Because we can.
And because we're not greedy and we don't want to keep it all for ourselves.
And sell it all for ourselves.
