Sorry guys, we've had a couple of customers in - 26 Sep 2025 - (721 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank

Sorry guys, we've had a couple of customers in.
Sorry it's a bit full, but we've had a ton of donations in which I'm just trying to sort out now.
All of these will be like pound clothes, pound, pound.
I've got a couple of reseller bags, five of each.
I've got, probably had a bag of Aberdash in, so I've got to sort that out now and fold it all.
Make sure it's all clean and whatnot.
It looks lovely.
It looks clean, doesn't it?
It looks nice.
So I've got to do that.
So sorry that it's a bit... breathing again.
As you come through the door.
And then I had like car seat covers and then some bubble hats and stuff.
So obviously I've had to separate them.
So I'll probably be here till at least six, I think, tonight.
And I don't know whether to open Risca and try Risca, because the weather's dry tomorrow.
Because last time we did Risca, on a Saturday, although we had that fate thing, didn't we?
And it was tipping down.
It was still quite busy, so I don't know whether to try Risca tomorrow.
Erm...
But I shall let you know in the morning.
What is the plan?
I think that's got a little hole.
Or scuff.
My mother's got fabric bond.
I wonder if she can fix that.
Probably.
So yeah, I've got quite a few of these car seat covers.
I don't know whether it's two sets, actually.
Because usually you only have four.
But this seems like lots of parts, so I'm going to have to...
Seems more, well, maybe not.
Maybe it's, like, bits of covers.
I don't know.
Perhaps we'll just do it as a job lot.
Anyway, it's easier sometimes, isn't it?
Than trying to sell one random car seat cover that don't match in the set.
And then loads of shoes, which I'm going through now.
Lovely shoes again.
The sun is a bit warm, but do you know what?
The thing is, they're a bit warm, but do you know what?
We'd still get a quid from.
So, that's the way I'd look at it.
I wouldn't charge them more than that for these anyway, because...
They're pre-mark anyway.
So they've been worn, they're a bit rough, but do you know what?
Job done.
Job done in it, guys.
We don't mess around here, you know that.
So this has come in with a bike.
Just lost our neighbours, and they've been good neighbours.
Moving out.
Getting in and out.
Because you never know who you're going to get, see?
And we've had good neighbours so far.
And he's given us the bike that he was working on and didn't want.
So, lovely.
It's a nice bike.
I think I've priced it a bit cheap, if I'm honest.
But, there we are.
I haven't really got room for a bike.
Got a brand new one in the donation centre.
Just so busy, guys.
You know, I need more volunteers now.
I need more of you in here helping.
Don't forget, you've got a £20 a day allowance.
With anything in the shop.
So you can come in and say, I'll have them, and I'll have that, and I'll have that.
And then do your shift, and then you've got it.
Saves you money as well, see?
You don't lose your benefits.
And, it's not taxable.
Oh, I saw something big from over there, look.
Something's gone, haven't it?
What did I see from over there, then?
I don't know.
God in heaven above, and he knows what was over there.
Somebody have a look on a video and find out.
I can't remember at all.
So yeah, I've got a bit to sort out.
One, maybe two massive bags full of boutique.
Five or six pounds.
Got a big boutique bag there.
And these ones then would be like our pound clothes.
Because that's what helps families out, see?
Joggers, jumpers, jeans.
You know, little bits and bobs.
Little bits and bobs, you know, all good quality.
You know.
Just what we needed in, actually.
Some jumpers and some warm clothes.
So thank you very much for that, G-DAS.
Much appreciated.
Right, I've got to try and make this a bit wider now.
