Right, so I'm going to do a quick video - 24 Sep 2025 - (462 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank
Right, so I'm going to do a quick video.
This is five bags from a charity shop that we picked up last night.
They couldn't cope with these donations, right?
They had too many.
They're popular.
They had too many.
They couldn't cope with them.
They didn't have the staff to work them.
My dad went to pick them up.
Okay, bag of washing that is.
So just wanted to see all of this now.
Right, this is five bags out of the 30 bags we picked up, right, from a registered charity shop.
We've got major charity shops working with us now.
Okay, I'm not going to name them because of the haters.
You know what they're like?
They're obsessed.
They're obsessed with me.
Right, but these have come now.
Well, I've done... No, no, this is... No, this is all the five bags.
Yeah, the other bags of stuff that's already come in.
Okay, so I've already started pricing some because some were like engines and stuff.
I've got them straight in the cover because they were quite a bit.
They were diecast.
Thank you for them.
But I just, you know, after the video that we saw last night with Saint Vincent.
Now, I can't drive down to Barry every day to pick up, but I'm sure I can get somebody down there to pick up for us.
And we'll crack open a Barry branch or something.
But I'm just using that charity shop as an example.
Okay.
And this that we've been given as an example, they just couldn't cope with the velocity that they're getting in.
Okay.
So rather than them put it in the bin, they've given it to us, which is we're very, very grateful for.
And we've obviously we've picked it up for free.
But we can't just do it at the drop of a hat, guys.
We need notice.
Okay.
And we need to have things put in place so that the staff are protected when they pick it up.
Because we've already had one little bunch of the heaters, same bunch, same bunch all the time, put online that they were nicking it from outside the charity shop.
When they weren't, they put it outside ready for them, which is not fair on the staff.
So we'll have designated collectors.
But all of this has been donated now by a charity shop that was overwhelmed yesterday.
Couldn't cope with it.
I knew that we've got the staff and we've got the integrity to go through it and sort it all out and put it together and do what's got to be done with it.
But please, if you're a charity shop out there, a secondhand shop, don't be dumping it in the bins.
