Right, so here we are guys - 23 Sep 2025 - (5,371 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank
Right, so here we are guys.
We are sorting out some donations.
I've been busy all morning.
I've already done about five bags and then I realised then we've got a tripod now.
It's a little bit awkward to get it where I want it to be I think.
Can you see?
I want you to be able to see what we're up to.
Lovely, nice top.
That would be, well it would go in the pound section.
Because you know us guys, we don't mess around.
Pound, fill a bag for five.
I've got tonnes now.
Ted Baker, so that would be dearer.
Well that's got Vivian Westwood on it but I'd have to check that.
We've got a couple of things going on here.
We've got a couple of odd stony badges here too.
What else is going on here?
I've got socks.
Very nice.
Usually three for a pound if they're like this guys.
Can you see?
I don't think you can see what I'm doing.
That's the problem.
I need to have a bit, it needs to be a bit wider, doesn't it?
Need to be out a bit more.
Needs to be out a bit more I think.
And then you can see what I'm doing.
I've got three pairs of lovely socks there.
I can't find the socks in.
They'd be a pound.
What's my pound section on?
I'm not sure if I've done this bag once before because there's a couple of things going on in this bag.
What's that?
Ralphie?
We've got a Ralphie.
But he's inside out.
I haven't got room to put any...
Yeah, I think I've done this bag because it's really expensive stuff in here.
And it's just got a few pound ones.
So I think...
Yeah, yeah, that's Polo.
So I think I've already done this bag.
Sorry guys.
It's just out there because it was more expensive stuff.
And I can't get it out because I've already got a full rail.
So I'll put that one back.
We usually mark them but that's in a separate bag.
We've got some Nike Nikes.
Nike Nikes.
We've got a nice cat there.
We've got him.
Oh, I love him.
I love him.
He's so squishy.
I love him.
And then I've got a couple of nice little things there.
I've found a pair of trainers in a box.
I don't know where they've come from.
I think they're Jordan's.
They've got to be priced.
I need to get them out.
And then I might need to move you guys.
I don't need the ring light on.
But at least...
Hold it.
What's happened there now?
Because I picked it up by the phone.
I actually picked it up by the phone.
Oh no.
I've broken it now.
I've broken the holder I think.
I wonder if we can stick that.
It is coming out.
I think we need a bit of glue on him.
Will it hold it today?
It might hold it today.
You might fall.
I don't know.
Okay, I've got a good case.
I've got five of my cases.
It's a good one.
It doesn't come on and off very good.
He's a lovely idea.
We've all got to have the squash test.
Meow.
Meow.
Any magic?
What does this one do then?
Does it light up?
That?
I don't know.
A lady came in today.
I want all of your teddy bears.
I want them all.
Oh no, I want them for free.
I've given them to you for free.
I haven't come in with a signed letter or anything of what you're doing and where you're going and you wanted them all for free.
I'm like, I don't think so.
Is that Peter Rabbit's girlfriend?
Hang on, I've lost my tomato.
I'm going to need a wash.
Get a couple of these little basket things in.
We get them in all the time.
Oh, this bag came from.
I didn't see this one yesterday.
I bet that goes in the dark.
Nobody's come forward with those children so we've passed it on to the police now because they're having problems next door with something not working as a result of it.
Oh, that's nice.
It's been made.
We get a couple of these things in too.
Is there any?
Is there any?
Nobody might need to go through the wash, that one.
Another little bag.
I've had a couple of these in, guys.
It's all 50% off but we only take card and contact less stress for you to be aware.
Give me a shout if you want me.
I'm just doing a video then packing the stuff for our followers.
Yes, I think I've got a couple of ones that will have to go in the wash.
We did just chuck them all in the machine, guys.
We don't mess around.
What else have I got?
I didn't finish this bag, I don't think.
Maybe hand ones.
I didn't finish that bag.
I think what else?
I think there were DVDs and books in it so I've left those until I've got all of the correct bits that I can read.
Off the nice top.
I don't know if you can still see it.
Just a bit...
No, I don't think you've seen it.
Right, what else have I got here?
Oh,
I've got a sweet 16 banner.
This is the banner.
I've got a...
Hang that one up.
And then I can display them a bit better.
I won't go all creased because I don't make me try any of these things.
This is a sweet 16 on it.
I've got a bit of the plastic behind.
A nice purse that's come in.
There we are.
I couldn't get through.
You won't be on camera.
It's facing diagonally.
So you need to wipe up, but it's a nice purse.
I've got a couple of CDs and books to go in the pile as we worked.
This is nice, but I don't know if we've got the parts.
We've just been sent in like that.
All a pound on our old filler carrier bag for a fiver.
I think he's OK.
They're usually OK, the crops, but I think they're supposed to have like a...
I've got a load of these things in.
All these dog hugs.
I think they're from IKEA originally.
They're quite good.
We could put those up in the children's area and hang stuff on actually.
I have a mini pet thing, but no pet.
Oh, I might find the pet.
He might be in a different bag.
Little gloves.
Oh, I wonder if that...
No.
I thought that might have been...
It might be something to do with that, but not all of it perhaps.
Let's have a look.
Let's have a look at that one then.
He's got some winter bands.
Nice little gloves for children, a little box which is a bit damaged.
He's OK.
And another dog butt.
They might be nice somewhere to hang stuff on perhaps.
I now have an empty box to fill.
So I've got to do the pricing now guys.
Oh no, it's a bit dodgy.
I don't know if it's going to hold it.
Might do.
It's holding it a minute anyway.
I might need one.
Remember I had the one down the donation center like screwed on the edge of the desk?
That was a good one.
I'll try that one.
I've got a couple of customers in this morning.
Tons and tons.
Let me get the box ready.
And then we can crack on and get the pricing done.
And like I said the thing is we get paid for...
Stoney Island badges.
There's three of them there.
I don't know.
Five of them.
They don't look real.
They'll go.
I've got a nice light here.
Here she comes in.
She was like, I want all the teddy bears.
We've had this before.
We had this before in another area.
We can't just give you stuff like that.
You can't just say I'm sending it to Africa.
I need proof that it's going to Africa.
We're just going after it goes to Africa.
You know, because you could say you're sending it to Africa.
And it could just be sold on.
A lot of cash for clothes items are sold on in Africa.
They're not given to people in need.
You know.
When that person was doing their fake Ukraine appeal.
And used our names to get nappies.
That's what we learnt off the charity question.
Because when I contacted them they said no, you can't do that.
Because she has to prove where it's going.
When it gets in that country.
She can't even be in a register charity.
You can't just say I'm sending all of this to Africa.
Or Uganda or the Middle East or Gaza.
You have to prove where it's going.
When it gets to the other side of the country as well.
So it's no good coming into me and saying I want all your teddy bears.
Because I'm sending them to Africa.
I don't know why you're sending them to Africa.
You could be sending them anywhere.
You could be selling them on eBay.
It don't work like that.
And things like teddies are our top sellers.
Take the toys down a bit guys.
Because we're filling up fast with toys.
So don't put them on a restriction.
Unless they're like a collectible item as well.
Well I think we've already said didn't we.
The volunteers with children under 18.
Can take a carrier bag of toys a month.
Ready for Christmas.
Thank you to do that.
I'm getting loads of these in.
Funny how we keep getting the same things.
Oh I've got sugar everywhere as well.
There's a little 3D lamp.
That's nice.
Sugar everywhere now.
Underneath my thing.
So yeah they've got something broke yesterday.
From those kids chucking stuff.
I don't know what.
But nobody's come forward to clean the children.
So...
It has to go through the police now then guys.
Otherwise we would have dealt with it outside.
I think they would have as well next door.
But...
Obviously the damage they've caused.
There's about 40 quid's worth of damage to us.
But we're on offer so say 20.
And the toys is worse going out at the moment.
This one would be dearer.
I'll have a restriction because he's collectible.
And the boy men will be after him.
But there only seems to be this one little group here.
I think he talks.
There seems to be a problem.
A problematic little group.
Of these young boys you know.
I don't know what they tipped at the front there.
But then somebody's dog walked through it.
And they smashed something.
It wasn't ours but they took something and smashed it.
And then somebody's dog walked through it.
And then there was a problem with somebody's dog as well.
I understand the young children.
But they need to understand the implications.
Because if that old lady has to take her dog to the vet.
Then obviously that dog could be injured.
And that could cost that old lady a lot of money.
That she might not have.
Maybe it's cut his foot.
And we don't know what's gone into his foot.
So you know.
Children do need to be told.
The consequences of their behaviours I think.
And I think the parents need to accept that as well.
Because this little particular group.
Is very very unruly.
And they are very...
When they've been spoken to by an adult.
They are very aggressive.
And throw stuff at the adults.
And make racial comments as well.
And you know it does need to be addressed I think.
I wouldn't want my child to be seen to be behaving like that in the community.
And I wouldn't be happy about it.
We had a problem with somebody the other day.
And yeah they spoke to their child about it.
They said, oh no I'm not doing that.
You know I'm not having my kid going around the place.
Behaving like that.
I'm not happy with it at all.
And we said right that's not a problem.
We won't go through with the police.
And you deal with it.
And we're happy with that and I'll take the videos down.
But we need to teach them how to behave really.
When they're out in public.
The other thing is that the other people involved.
The other shops involved dealt with it quite calmly and quite well.
Which one day they might not.
They might not deal with that calmly.
And well and that could end up with those children.
Being injured in some form.
Especially if it's continuing.
Because people are going to get fed up with it.
So I think they were very lucky to...
You know especially when they're making racial comments.
I think they're very lucky to...
Have got away with what they've done yesterday.
Without somebody feeding them with it.
On their own accord.
And then the children could have gotten injured.
Or the circumstances could have been a lot worse.
Because some of the fellas that are across here.
And they're delivery drivers and what have you.
They're big fellas.
They're big fellas.
You know.
And I can understand if they're damaging their cars.
If they damage their cars and the rest of it.
And you know.
Then they could quite easily get injured.
In some shape or form couldn't they.
Especially if it's a reoccurring problem.
So I think people need to speak to their children.
About their behaviour.
As some of the videos I see about kids today.
And they all video it and they all videoing each other fighting.
And it's awful it is.
It's awful you know.
I wouldn't want to be a kid today.
We never had stuff like that when we were a kid.
We had a bit of bullying name calling.
But we never had people behaving like that.
Children behaving the way they do today.
They've got no childhood have they.
It's like they're not having any fun.
And I appreciate there's nothing for them to do.
And like I say the more you support us the more things we can do.
Like Lego club.
At the moment we're only doing a small craft club for mothers.
But we can do a bigger craft club for children.
Or different things you know.
Maybe put on discos and things.
But I can't do it without more customers and more volunteers.
You know I can't do it.
Come on Sharpie you're supposed to be dry.
I've already got it on my fingers.
I hope you can see what I'm doing guys.
Can you see it?
Oh I think you can yeah.
I think you can see what I'm up to.
Oh I'm a bit tired.
Haven't had anything proper to eat yet.
So I got a nice bread.
And I got...
But I've got to cut it.
And I don't know if I've got a decent knife to cut it here.
I might have a bread knife in a cupboard somewhere to be sold.
I've got donations in the car but I don't really feel like bringing them in.
I've still got Anjou to work but I just don't want to.
It's one of them days where I just don't want to empty the car.
Quietly busy today.
Quiet on the street as well.
A funny old climate at the moment you know.
In retail and how things are sort of transpiring.
I think they've had to shut next door because of the problem they've got that isn't working now.
So I mean that's cost by business.
I don't know if it's all related.
I think some of it is.
But that's you know.
Obviously they've had to shut the shop.
Because of the breakage in some things.
So they're nice.
They've got like a felty bit in the middle.
Don't forget we're doing five to six.
Maybe seven depending on the prices.
You've got toys for Turner for Christmas.
We've got loads.
It includes the teddies.
It includes other stuff.
But only for the children.
It's not not if you're coming in and a reseller to sell the teddies.
Or it won't be on the vintage cars or the you know the figures and stuff.
The staff know what they're doing.
They'll work out the best deal for you.
So you get it as cheap as possible.
You know they will.
They'll work it out.
So you won't love like five things for a Turner that wouldn't have come to a Turner in the first place.
So...
They'll work it out.
So if you've got like five items and it comes under a Turner.
They'll be like we'll go and get two more, one more.
Because we've got tons.
We've got tons.
We've got loads coming in all the time.
So the last thing we want is to be stuck with stuff.
You know it's a good opportunity for us to have a clean out with the toys now as well.
So I love this fish and chips.
Oh no it's not fish and chips.
Chips are just fries.
But it's like quiet out there.
Where was this from?
Minnesota.
I don't know.
Minnesota.
There you are there.
There you are there.
I love them.
Got this lovely teddy.
Oh and the tomato.
Mmm tomato.
Foodies.
This is called Softlings foodies.
We had these stickers given to us for free.
I got about 10,000 of them.
10,000 of them.
And they've got millions on there.
They're supposed to be for like carbon printing.
They won't fit in my little printer.
But they were good for us for the shops.
My mum's been promoted to bigger stickers.
She's used to having tiny little things that we had a job lot of.
So she finished those off because they were fiddly for the shops.
And they got more time to write on them in the house.
But they were like a quarter of the size of these.
They were even smaller but we had a load of them.
So she's been dealing with them.
So she didn't know herself today when she had large stickers for once.
These Sharpies were donated as well.
Thank you very much.
Somebody's seen that we've got it.
We use certain pens because otherwise we'd just smudge it.
You can't do it quickly otherwise.
If you've got just a normal pen, it'll smudge something dreadful.
And they were like, oh, I'm not using these Sharpies.
Do you want them?
Oh, yes, please.
Some of them were coloured.
But I said to dad, don't worry about it.
Just use the coloured ones, isn't it?
Don't matter if you're writing in green or red.
As long as this...
Well, it could do if somebody can't see it.
But you don't worry about that.
We've got plenty of staff there that would be able to see the colours.
What's everybody else doing?
Put a comment in the comment box below, guys.
So we did really well last month in between the boosts and everything we had.
So there's also a bonus that's in limbo.
But I think it's going to come out a couple of times.
They send you things now and use certain hashtags as well.
So I tried to do the hashtags like lifestyle.
When you think about it, it's hard, you know.
When you just do it like this, it's not too bad.
But when you think about what content you're putting out, because they're telling you what to do.
But I think we had a forty six pound bonus because I did the lifestyle.
I had to do three to five videos of like a lifestyle hashtag on there.
Something going on on Facebook.
I wanted to do that.
So I did it.
But I think we had a forty six pound bonus that month, which is good, isn't it?
I'll go wrong with that.
We're online anyway, aren't we?
So, you know, and if we're not online, somebody's out there abusing us.
So we might as well get paid for it.
That's the way I look at it.
You know, it would be nicer to be paid for more positive stuff.
But, you know, the amount of people has come forward and said, oh, I've got nappies, I've got donations.
You know, with the negative.
Stuff that goes on.
You know, new customers come in or didn't even know you were up here, you know.
I saw you online.
I saw you online.
You're accused of battering somebody with a health and safety sign that they have no evidence of whatsoever.
You know, and the sympathy, you know, the sympathy we get as well, which I'm not asking for, but the sympathy we get because of the abuse we get online, you know, that works in our favour as well, doesn't it?
So people come in and say, oh, it's not on, you know, the way that you're being treated is not on, it's unacceptable.
You know, and then they start shopping with us, donating with us, and they become our customers.
So you don't win, you know, because it's only the naysayers that don't like us and don't shop with us.
And then we don't really want them here anyway, do we?
We don't really want the mingers and the haters and the clampets and the blooming freeloaders.
We don't want them here anyway, so we don't lose anything.
I've got this lovely little jigsaw, but I've been... I'm missing one.
I'm missing one bit.
That's a bit gutted.
So this is why we say, don't just empty out your toy boxes.
Just check, you know, check at the moment.
He's up for free unless I can't find him.
Let's get in.
I'm hoping this one's here, because this is a lovely one.
But I got a funny feeling, the bag opened when I checked it over here.
Oh no!
There's a hole in the bag.
Oh, it does fit.
Oh, yes, we may have the bits, but I may have just dropped them all on the floor.
What's the circle for then?
What are these?
I don't remember.
I have a fish.
I have a fishing rod.
That's just all the bits are in here.
I'm hoping this one's here, because it's a lovely one.
Look at the shapes and whatnot.
So fingers crossed, guys.
I've got a few bits.
One, two...
I've got another fish.
What's that?
That's a ten.
That's another fish.
Oh, unless they go like that.
Do you think they go like that, these fish?
But what do these things go?
Oh, I don't know.
The fish might go on there.
I don't think they've got...
Oh, they have, yeah.
I don't know.
They have.
They've got numbers on them.
That one's ten, and that one's nine.
Alright, so it's something to do with the fish.
Oh, and then, look, look, look, look.
Do these things have something to do with it?
You have to put these in order of height sequence.
Oh, and then, then...
Do you have to put the loops?
It's like the Krypton Factor, this.
Where the hell do you get this from?
Oh, I'm getting there slowly.
No wonder they said I've got a disability.
Look at it.
Look at it doing this.
There's some educational psychologist out there now going, it's taking it that long to figure out that's one jigsaw.
No, this was a difficult one, wasn't it, guys?
It was a hard one.
I think that's what it's for now.
It was probably only until I slug it over there in the corner as well.
Yes, I think the circle bits go on it, and the fishing rod is part of it.
It's lovely, isn't it?
Let's check this all out.
Oh, I've got to move it all up now because I've got a one.
Oh, no, I've got a two now as well.
One, two.
It's very good because you can...
Oh, I've knocked the fish now.
It's very good because you can visually see like putting one ring on there, look.
And two rings on there.
So you can see it as well.
Very good for coordination.
Not mine, obviously.
I'm used to these things.
I think I've lost a few bits in the process.
Oh, no.
Oh, it is a bit fiddly.
I'm missing one fish, but it could be that I've dropped it down there.
See, I can see a shape and a twig and a four.
Hang on now.
I've got a star, a four.
If I move the table, they're all going to fall.
I've got... hang on now.
We've got one.
It's fiddly.
Oh, my gosh.
If you've got a kid that's going to throw this across the room, don't buy it.
If you know you have a child that it will annoy, don't pick this up.
I was probably all there when I started.
But I've probably lost all the bits now.
So I've got four there.
Yes, and four is yellow.
So it's very good for colour and coordination.
Oh, look.
You can see.
This is why they said I've got like dyspraxia as well.
I can't focus on stuff.
I've got too much going on in my brain.
I have 24-7 and then I can't focus on it.
I think I've got two oranges.
But then that's like a peach.
This is very good.
If we've got all the bits.
If we've got all the bits, we'll probably put it up for a fiver, guys.
I've got the fishing rod.
I have the fishing rod.
And then I've dropped another bit down there that rolled off.
We should never open it now.
Two different colour greens.
I've got the peach.
I've got that peach and there's two.
See, there's two on there.
I don't know if we've got it all because...
One, two, three, four, five, six.
We've got six there.
I don't think my pegging system is right though because
I've got a gap there.
And it should be to the top where the number one isn't, is it?
I've only got, oh no, I've got five there.
So that's correct.
Like a lilac.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
That should be nine.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
So we've got seven.
If that's the right peg for seven.
I can't get my really big leap for me to do.
Two, four, six, seven.
Well I'm in it then, is it?
Because we've got two lots of seven.
I don't think I go much on the floor.
I just have to put this into the side and see if we can pick it up.
We're missing a diamond.
I can see a diamond.
Oh, I can see a diamond, a fish and a peg.
So I'll have to go down there now and figure it all out.
Two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Didn't have them all, did I?
Ten is darker.
So we've got one, two, three, four, five, six.
See, it's easier for me to see patterns.
Like I can see that's ten as a pattern rather than actually count it.
That's how, you know, sometimes you've got to think outside the box with people who have autism and disabilities and things.
Because I could see that as a pattern of ten rather than actually count it.
It was actually better for me.
I'm going to see some plastic.
I've always come in handy for something displaying something.
And I've just found another one as well so I need to get a new one.
I'm trying to pull this off out.
I don't think I can do it without pulling the entire table out, guys.
I might have to move on to something else and put this to the one side.
Or I retrieve it all.
Oh, hang on, there's a bit by here.
Got the heart.
So we're missing one.
We're not missing a lot.
It would be a shame if we haven't got it all, wouldn't it?
Because it's a lovely set.
I'll just bring it down by here.
Until I can get under the table and I need to fish the bits out.
And then we've got all of these which don't really match up as such yet.
Right.
So these are nice.
These are these hotel chocolate mugs.
I know that because I've got a velvetizer.
I bought it for Dan one Christmas.
So this is like a velvetizer.
They're nice little mugs.
They keep the chocolate nice and warm.
They're lovely.
So we'll get the prices on them.
Might have to put it on charge now.
A lot of junk on the street this week.
It seems to be a lot of stuff dumped on the sofa at the top of the street.
Yeah,
so I got bread.
I don't know if I got a toaster so I might have to suffer a jam sandwich.
But I've got pasta as well.
And then I got another set of that pasta when I go home because I didn't eat it all yesterday with Dan.
I'm going to put some more cheese on it I think.
And that was made from food waste and then we had a jar of Cantonese kicking around.
The other option was curry.
But I think he's going to do that tonight.
He's going to use the rest of the pasta.
The rest of the tomatoes that were food waste.
And then we've got a curry jar that's out to date.
So we're going to use that.
And then he's got tuna I think.
So I think.
Trying to use stuff as well.
Because we've got quite a few bits and bobs kicking around in our own kitchen that have gone out to date.
The trouble is that we're out quite a lot.
So we tend to eat food in the shops more.
We don't really get home till late.
But where I've been ill I've been trying to go home.
So where the...
Avalanche!
Where the...
I've been having tests and stuff.
Instead of staying all night working in the shops like I usually do.
I've been going home and lying down and going into bed and just doom-scrolling or doing work.
Online, you know.
Promoting stuff online.
Things like that.
Where did I put the tub?
Oh, I'm not sure if that's what I... I had a tub.
Somebody sent in like a popcorn tub.
A big one.
So I put the duplo.
There was two sets of duplo.
There was like an animal one.
And then a little park one.
So I put them all in together.
And I think that's one of the things they stole was the popcorn tub full of the duplo.
It was good because I got quite a bit of it in there.
So any tubs like that I keep.
Or like a tub like this.
You can't take the cover off this.
It's printed on there.
But if there was no cover on it then it was transparent.
Brilliant.
Anything like that.
Little tubs and little jars.
Got a couple of records.
Records we're on three for a pound because we've got so many now.
Three for a pound.
Who's this?
Cabaret.
Three for a pound.
Hi-Fi classics.
The World of Van Dunakenny is going to be a pound.
Winchester Cathedral.
We're walking in the air.
The Hits of...
The Hits of Joe Stafford.
Don't know who she is.
Barber on Nights.
Jester Giggle.
Yeah, that'll be a three for a pound.
South Pacific.
Somebody bought something they should just pull out like this.
They actually folded it all out.
And I'd add it like a like a picture on their wall.
They look nice too.
And then, what's this?
Sound Orchestra.
There's quite a few in there.
