Let's have a look, see what shops are available - 11 Sep 2025 - (1,307 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank
Let's have a look, see what shops are available.
I say guys, because we need a shop.
At least, well, we could do two more shops.
And we could do, definitely need two more warehouses now.
Caerphilly is.
I knew this would happen in Caerphilly straight away.
I need a furniture shop.
I need something big to put furniture in.
I've looked at this one, I've messaged them, but you're probably looking at about $354 now in Blackwood.
And this one isn't actually, this one is out of Blackwood and I don't think it would work.
It hasn't worked for this business, has it?
All the suites are still in there.
I've looked through the window at this one.
Probably all off now.
So yeah, I mean, it's nicely set out, but not for that price.
Muthah.
Oh, I've seen these units in Muthah.
This one, well, I've seen a nicer one for $500.
That's in a better condition, I've got to be honest.
I don't think it's as big as it looks.
It might be a big out the back.
But I hope we get a tie here before anybody goes in it.
Because, you know, you're not going to have a better location.
I look all the time at the cafe.
That is just the top.
You don't feel it.
That's a flat.
Where's this?
In Pentra.
It's quite a big one.
So one next door to us, this is.
I don't know about that.
Weekly shop sales, $4,000.
Because they wouldn't be going if they were taking $4,000 a week.
Yeah.
I think that's false, to be honest.
They wouldn't be going if they were taking $4,000 a week, would they?
Let's be fair.
I quite fancy that one.
I have told them I'm not trembling to pay for it.
Next door to where we go.
Easy put the But I wouldn't pay that for it.
Business.
Lots of them just packing up and going now.
Oh, I think there's only this little thing, is there?
What is it?
Well, you wouldn't be going, see, if you were making that much.
You wouldn't be leaving.
Because the car was making that much money.
I really can't.
Not a day in this day and age.
It's all gonna go before long.
I looked at this one because I know where this one is, but I think it's the top.
Not good if it's the top.
It would be alright if it's the bottom for car death.
Parking right at the front, but it's paid parking.
But we could have refunded that, see.
It would have taken me off your sale.
Ideally, but it's the top.
If it was the bottom, I might have gone for that.
Nice.
Too much though.
If you're having a laugh, you won't go there now.
Got a yard as well, look.
Rough mind.
Look at this, they do it.
Shop counter for sale.
Oh, that's a nice one, isn't it?
What do you want?
500?
3000?
Oh, RRP 3000.
Just lights up, do it.
Oh, that's nice.
I like that one, but he's selling, I think.
No rented.
Oh my gosh, that's what we ordered this morning.
Let's have a look at this one.
Is that it for 1500?
We ain't gonna go there.
No, it wouldn't be there.
I mean, whatever was there, it didn't work, did it?
It obviously had a kitchen, and that didn't work.
So if we're talking fast food, that didn't work.
So,
you need to wake out.
Because the longer you wait for people to come in, the less you're gonna go.
Instead of giving somebody a decent price now and getting some money for it,
there's not gonna be anybody left before long that is willing to take on places.
I look every day at different places and what else we can do.
Every day.
I'm not afraid to move at all, like, you know, we've done it so many times now, I'm not afraid to move.
So glad we got it at Blackwood when we did.
Not just because of the lack of footfall, but the landlord, like, how many times has he come up now since with the bloody morgue and then the kick-off in Caerphilly?
Because he owned that.
That was him there, look.
He owned that shop in Caerphilly that was selling the ones to the vapes that was on the Caerphilly Groups every week.
The father turned up kicking off at him, selling the vapes to the kids.
Nothing really jumped out of Abba Bargad.
Wouldn't touch that with a blooming barge pole up there, guys.
Wouldn't go up there.
We took that out in necessity when we went up to Abba Bargad because I had clothes on my drive.
Under tarpaulin.
And it was the wrong time of year and we needed somewhere else.
And it was our first place and we everywhere was full.
Everywhere.
And Kay and Jan had taken clothes home off my driveway that had got wet to wash and dry.
And then we had to put them back under the tarp and we were like, If they get wet again, they're going to have to wash them again.
And we were like, we need to just get somewhere.
And we just grabbed somewhere.
And I didn't really get time to think about it, but I wouldn't go up there again.
It's funny how all these women's hair salons are going and they've been none of the men's ones.
But booty salons and hair salons are going.
For women, but no men.
The barber shops are not going.
This is nice, but it's upstairs.
We were like, oh, we love that.
We can get it cheaper, but it's upstairs.
I don't think there's a lift or anything.
Oh, I can't see this.
If we don't put a picture on the inside, nobody's going to even look at it twice.
Nothing, is it guys?
Nothing.
It's always worth looking, googling business for sale as well.
Because sometimes they sell in the business, but somebody else owns the property.
And you can say, oh, who's your landlord?
And then they put it through.
Somebody sent me a picture of a church or something, haven't they?
I've got to check that one today and somebody's checking a price of somewhere for me.
I don't know where.
I can't remember now.
Taunton, 400 quid, look.
Bargain.
Anybody going to open a shop in Taunton for us?
It's all going to go bang, guys.
I tell you, you'll be sat there with empty properties before long.
You need to lower your rents ASAP and get people in.
Otherwise, you ain't, you know, I got leases coming up soon and we've already negotiated, you know, prices on them.
I'm not afraid to get a warehouse, right?
Put it all in a warehouse and wait for it to go bang.
And then come back and get shops.
I'm not afraid to do that either.
It's going to be hard work.
But I'm not afraid to say, right, I'm picking up all my stuff.
I'm off.
I'm not re-signing because I'm not happy with the prices.
And what you've got to think is that the electric and all have tripled, you know.
We're lucky we get discounts on the business rates, but other businesses don't.
It's because we're a not-for-profit, but others don't.
And these charity shops don't rely on these charity shops to go in there because they're not getting the grants that they used to get.
Instead of giving like 20,000 pound out, right, to one charity, people are giving a thousand pound out to 20 charities to try and help them more.
So don't think you're going to get a charity shop in there.
You're going to need somebody who knows what they're doing.
Not much on here today, guys.
I say guys, because we need a shop.
At least, well, we could do two more shops.
