Right, so it's a little video of one pickup I'm doing now.
This lady has waited over a week for us.
So thank you for that.
This is one pickup of one person.
Now you know why we need volunteers in, because I've already got donations to go through and now I've got to go through all of this and that's brilliant.
But this is something I want to speak to now because we've got three types of customers.
We've got the customers that support us really well, we've got the ones that sit on the fence and don't know who to believe and we've got the haters.
Okay, we don't want the haters in our shop, this box as well.
We don't want them in our shop, right?
Anyway, but the ones that are sat in between, come and try us out.
Yesterday we had customers over from Ponty Pread.
That's a long way to drive just to come and see us and they spent 48 pounds.
They had a necklace, a mattress, they had a rope swing for the garden that was brand new, they had a fridge and they had a bag and they had all of that for 48 pounds.
That's a lot for 48 pounds.
Okay, now we could have charged 88 for that but we didn't.
We charged 48 for it.
And they were well chuffed and they're coming back and they're keeping an eye out for us for shops in Ponty Pread.
I have been looking.
Superdrug wants too much.
This lady has a charity box around the corner, literally around the corner.
She has a charity shop around the corner on her doorstep, right?
And she also has a toy charity that we'll probably collect on her doorstep.
Okay, a registered toy charity.
They're lovely.
We know them very well.
They're good friends of ours.
Anyway, what I'm trying to say to you is look at the support that we're getting.
Look at the support that the haters are not getting.
They've had to team up together to build a website to try and take us down.
Right?
And the website is no longer factual.
It's just slander.
I've been looking for a better tool.
My nan used to drink that.
Look at the stuff that's in here.
Beautiful.
This lady wouldn't have waited for all this stuff when she's got all these options.
Right?
It's a young family.
A young family.
She wouldn't have waited all this time for us to pick up if we were in the real deal.
She'd have taken it around the shop.
This had been in her way.
She'd have gone round that shop.
She'd have gone round that bin.
She'd have put it on Marketplace for free.
Or she'd have run the toy charity or one of the other charities that say they do all this stuff for families to come and pick it up sooner than us.
But she didn't.
She waited for us.
And this particular lady has supported us and her family.
I've supported us basically since we started.
I've been coming to this lady.
And she's a young family.
Young family.
So I'm appealing to the in-betweeners.
We don't want to hate us in there.
We don't want to turn them around.
They can get lost as far as we're concerned.
I'm appealing to the people in between us to come and pay our shops a visit.
Come and speak to our staff.
Come and spend the day with our staff and volunteer and see how you get on.
Come and spend the day with me if you want.
I'm not very good in I'll tell you that.
But I'm appealing to you now guys to rethink what's been told you because it's a false narrative.
I'm the same as you guys.
I got my bread and my dinner from at the church.
They give us that in a bag of food that they were giving away.
I'm the same as you guys.
I'm not here for the money.
I'm in it for the recycling.
Most charities wouldn't touch any of this stuff.
They'd be like, oh no, I don't know.
It's not worth enough.
Right?
Look at this lovely stuff we get in.
We recycle thousands of tons.
Where do you think we get the thousands of tons from?
The public.
These charities, we've taken two down.
They've been shut down by us.
The other two are under investigation by the charity commission.
We're not under investigation by anybody.
The council, the charity commission, the police, nobody.
Nobody is investigating us.
Action fraud.
Nobody's ever arrested me and said I need to speak to you about this baby bank.
I've actually got CCTV footage of a police officer putting food in somebody's car during the pandemic because we were getting so much abuse from these charities for giving out the food for free in crates on our drive that the police had to come down and stay with us.
And they were actually putting crates into the car.
I'd probably dig that out somewhere.
I've got it because I've got it on screen shot.
I've put it on before.
So just think about what I've said now and how that resonates.
While I get all of this in my car.
This lady has waited over a week for us.
