Oh, morning, guys - 28 Aug 2025 - (329 words) - Jaynes Baby Bank
Oh, morning, guys.
I've just come out of the court.
Well, I didn't get into the court, really.
Erm, you know, Sherlock's little band of followers.
And they're playing monkeys, all these registered charities banding together to try and get us...
Well, I don't know what they're trying to do, really, but they're not succeeding.
Anyway, so, it was a non-payment of business rates, so I didn't even get into the court for that one.
Learning my building.
That one is under the limit for business rates.
And this one, in the bin, because we're a registered not-for-profit food bank and baby bank.
Thank you for wasting everybody's time this morning, Sherlock.
And for me to get it in right in that I don't need to pay zilch.
Erm, I think we're going to start compiling a costing sheet ready for when you get charged.
So that we can not just have the court fees and the victim surcharge, but we can also chase it up with a civil court case for you afterwards.
Because once we've got the charge, I can take you to court civilly.
And I believe small claims court is just under 10,000.
I might see.
We've got business insurance and perhaps we'll see.
If we get the court case and you get charged, which I think you're going to, because they're doing a lot of investigation and they are charging the one that kicked off on the pavement.
And to be honest, that was like a one-off.
They did it all week, but it was a one-off and you're doing it over a prolonged period of time with lots of evidence that you are documenting yourself in lots of transcripts and various other things.
So we should have a pretty good court case there even if we did take it for civil costs higher than 10,000.
I'm quite good in court.
I should have been a lawyer.
But I'm not.
I run a baby banking set.
