Oh, sorry you guys - 9 Apr 2024 - TikTok @jaynesbabybank1_tm - Jaynes Baby Bank
Oh, sorry you guys.
I'm in Sunny Training today.
And here I'm a proper point here right now, because we've got a lot of elderly fiets up here.
And Emily down the floor, just give me a shout.
But we could do the drop-off up here.
I've just had all these lovely records, books given to us.
The gentleman's cleaning this house.
This is the second part of all the stuff he's given us.
All lovely stuff, look.
It's all collectible stuff, you know.
And, like we said, you know, it goes to a collector who enjoys it.
And then we buy nappies and food bags and baby formula out of it.
And maybe some other stuff like we've bought the wristbands.
Remember the new version of wristbands on the children.
So, I mean, these are all very collectible books.
I wouldn't like to guesstimate prices, because books would be surprised.
Oh, that, that will go.
If that's a set, that'll fly up, I will.
Lovely records, very old records.
Like I said, you know, this guy's only up the road.
He can drop off to us as well.
But we could do with a drop off point, I think, in Trinent.
So, if anybody wants to be there, where people can take their donations, you call us, and then we pick up a car full, and then that cuts down on the emissions, so the environment, because I know it's electric, but there's still a carbon footprint to everything,
because it's still fueled by electric, isn't it?
So, solar panel on the top.
So, that means that we're coming for a car full, and not coming for like a quarter of a car full.
You know, or if Dan uses his car, which is petrol, which is emissions, it's just a quarter.
Or, somebody isn't driving from Trinent, say, to Blackwood, with two carrier bags of stuff, cutting down on emissions for the environment as well.
So, that's why we do the drop off point.
We've got quite a few elderly people in Trinent, and Aberbeeg, actually.
Don't forget, we are available.
We will pick up.
Like, we do put a price on our pickups, but if we know it's somebody who can't get out to the house, and they're not just offloading rubbish, then we will come and pick up for you.
But what we won't do is just a random pickup now, or it's going down the tip, when it's all being slammed into bags, it's all broken, dirty washing, broken toys, parts missing, we won't do anything like that.
And that would be on a cost, because if we've got to dispose of that, then, that costs us.
Oh, I think there's a scrap house there.
I thought it was a piece, wasn't there?
I was like, oh yeah, and I've parked very well.
There's nobody about, though, is there?
So, last minute, I'm sure there was snow, because I took a nice picture from it on the bench.
So, I'm off down the donation centre now.
I got about 600 bags to go through.
We haven't even opened it to the public yet.
But, thank you ever so much, guys.
I'm better this week.
Daniel's got it now.
Waiting on Brimhouse Electric before we can reopen Brimhouse.
So, that's going to be done around 1-ish.
Well, hopefully it'll be done around 1-ish.
That's when the electrician is coming.
So, we can get that shop back up and open.
All the others are open.
Risk is open now till Friday.
We need weekend staff if people want to come in on the weekends.
Always need staff.
Like I said, we always need volunteers.
The day goes a bit quicker if you're not sat in the shop on your own as well.
For other people.
Yeah, so I'm off now, guys.
