I leaned so much from being on a heamotology placement as a student nurse. They are the ones who diagnosed me with aplastic anemia and saved my life because the GP was having none of it and wouldn't even make a referral. It was these guys that started the ball rolling in my diagnosis and ultimately saved my life when I was rushed into for triple blood transfusion.
