Recap - all volunteers need to come through me:-
You need a rolling enhanced dbs
No criminal convictions spent/pending
No criminal convictions spent/pending or social services recommendations that you can not work with children or vulnerable adults.
We don't want volunteers that steal anything including stock. Once it comes over the threshold it is the baby banks property. We will press charges. We have cctv with audio in all the shops. I will display your photo on social media if you steal off babies and children.
You must comply with our rules and heath and safty and fire regulations by law. This includes alcohol and narcotic consumption. You are working around babies and children.
If the job centre has sent you to volunteer they need to pay for the rolling dbs/training - they must also provide you with time sheets to prove you have been volunteering .
Volunteers do not sort donations or price items your role with designated to you when starting. You main role will be to tidy, clean and organise shops.
Volunteers who work over 8 hours a week are entitled to 1 micro meal a day as a gesture of good will off me and 75% staff discount. ( Blackwood stock is held for 2 weeks before discount, volunteers are not to bag up stock ready to pay . It needs to be purchased off the shop floor at the time.)
Volunteers are expected not to make a mess for others to sort out as this is breach of health and safty and possibly fire safty law.
Shop managers manage the shops fo ME, IN THE MANNER THAT I WANT THEM RUN, the shops are not franchises - they are my shops. If anyone has an issue with the shops contact me directly.
Shop managers are entitled to £30 worth of stock a week for Free. This is subject to terms and conditions.
We have a code of conduct being printed which you will need to adhere too.
