I may have small food collections Risca/Newbridge/Blackwood 8:30pm in the evenings available . (We are not giving out food collections to the public yet). If you would like to volunteer as a food fairy let me know. Larger shops you will need a vehicle (no small cars you will need room). The positions are voluntary and you can take 20% or a green tray full of the food collected. The rest needs to be dropped to the shops that night. Items that need to be chilled put in the fridge and items that are use by: but can be frozen need stickers and put in the freezer. Flowers need to be put in the water buckets. The large supermarket pick ups are more volunteer work that the smaller ones. We need a photos of the full collectio for social media and our records every night.

Smaller collections slightly different % depending on what is picked up. Ie) tins come to the foodbank, fresh/use by kept by the collector or you may get 6 loaves of bread but you only need two and the other 4 can be dropped off at the shop next day ect. We need a photo of the collection for social media and records nighly.

Food Fairies 🧚‍♂️ 🧚‍♀️🧚 are not to give our food to the public unless it is done via the shops. You can not pass it on to other charities or foodbanks under Health and Saftey Law.

The food will eventually be given to Mothers to feed their children under 18 for FREE.
