We are going to start ringfencing coinage (some notes) that are collectable that come in via the till for a period of 12 months before banking to benefit the charity (pending) financially. We are already registered with coin checker. These coins will be put up for sale for longest period of 12 months before being banked.
Ie) rare 50p may be worth £3.50- 10 ??? If we sell it the amount raised from the sale of the coin ie 50p = £10 sale = £9.50 profit and original 50p to be banked to go into running the baby bank and the foodbank/nappies. If it doesn't sell in 12 months we will take it off sale and bank what ever coin /or rare note it was . Standard change and taking are banked on the day. Charity pots and boxes removed from shops at night replaced in the morning and opened when full we give a total out social media.
