I'm seeing at lot of families saying 24 hours is costing £10+. You need to insulate between your floor boards and extra in the attic. Now this isn't a quick fix. Especially if you have to pull up floorboards (I was lucky mine were all loose and I took advantage of the 1p a roll insulation offer about 10 years ago. Put a curtain on your stairs. Get foil blankets and put them up behind your thick, lined curtains. Buy curtain lining and sew it on the back of existing curtains or other thick curtains from any charity shop. Put foil behind your radiators. Put a curtain over your doors and front door. I sit and sleep with a blanket , a foil ambulance 70p blanket ans then a duvet over me to keep it in place. Layer clothes. Leggings , jeans , t shirts , buy thermal vests. Hat on will keep the warmth in - I'm so lucky that I actually prefer the cold and cant stand the heat. But I do love a scalding hot bath and I have fish tanks so I'm trying to save on the gas to help my electic bill #weareinthistogether

Lagging mums is really easy to lay you have to drag it up the attic in a big roll, Stanley blade the packaging and roll it out fast while standing on the attic beams or you will fall through the ceiling . Bit more tricky under flooring because you have to use a pole broom handle to push it to the ends of ceiling /floor. Imagine a loft floor upside down.there are lots of offers on Lagging because the Government have to promote it.
P.s. you will itch like hell off it for 48 hours because of the fiber glass.
