As Winter is going to be hard this year on all of us especially the vulnerable and the elderly we are thinking about starting a buddy scheme like the council run for people who are on the shielding list. So for example phoning people weekly to check on them, shopping, and posting prescription scripts and collecting and delivering scripts. I know that our followers and families can achieve this to help people across South Wales and further.

But we will have to have strict guidelines to follow. For example if you have been authorised as a buddy volunteer to phone someone weekly and check on them and have a friend chat, volunteers can't just go to the persons house and start shopping for them. Everything needs to follow strict protocol guidelines and procedures and you will need an enhanced DBS in place.
