Employment law.
Seeing a lot of posts about children being ill at present. Employers have to make reasonable adjustments for children who are sick under the age of 5 - they can ask you to work the hours back at a more suitable time, or take it out of lieu. And you have the right to work it back.
If children have registered learning difficulties or disabilities then employers have to make reasonable adjustments indefinatley to working parents if children are unwell or if there has been a behavioural issue and the parent has to leave work early to collect or visit the school. Again this can be worked back or taken in lieu. The employer can ask you to work the time back.
Employers can also ask for GP or hospital proof. So remember when discharged from A&E to get them to give you a certificate before you go home.
